Xbox One Transfer From HDD to HDD = Black Screen

My question is this. I have a Xbox 360 S already and I am thinking of purchasing a new one, but one in the Black Matte style with a 250GB HDD. My current console has a 250GB HDD already in it. Can I use the new transfer cable that is meant for the Slim
Xbox 360 and transfer my content from one 250GB HDD to another 250GB HDD? The new Matte Xbox's with a 250 HDD in them already have them, so I don't need to have two hard drives. So basically in escense I am asking it I can transfer content from 250GB to
a 250GB?

Have you tried using an Xbox HDD transfer cable? It transfers all content from one HDD to the next HDD. I used one to transfer all my data from my Elite 360 to my MW3 360. It worked beautifully.

Verdict: since my original gtag 1 was never online i have to use a transfer cable to transfer profiles from my original rrod hdd to the current xbox.

Problem: the transfer willt be a full data transfer not partial, from my original 60g hdd to my 4g slim. NOT possible.

Solution: purchase xbox 250g or + HDD, replace 4g hdd with 250, purchase 1x slim to slim hdd transfer cable, transfer current profile from 4g HDD to new 250+HDD. Purchase Xbox360 original hdd to Xbox360 slim hdd transfer cable, Transfer profile from original
360 hdd to 360 slim with new 250g hdd, merge profiles

providing I remember the password.

I have the problem of that my HDD is making my xbox splash screen freeze for about 15 minutes and I cannot access anything on it because of the formatting problem. I am going to attempt to backup everything on an already used HDD by computer via XPort and
transfer Kit and Then use the transfer kit to transfer content from the Malfunctioning HDD to the Backed-up HDD, and format the Malfunctioning HDD.

Note: The Malfunctioning HDD cannot be backed up on computer, I tried but when i came to open the subfolder Partition 3 it disconnected and quit working.

I just plugged a 250GB 360 S HDD into a 120GB RE5 console. The transfer dialog popped up. The new transfer software supports Moving data from a larger HDD to a smaller one as you have the option to select what content to move.



Incidentally, the new transfer software can Move XBOX Originals data. That appears to be the only way to move original XBOX save game file data as there's no Move option using regular System Settings, Memory.



Also, you can Transfer from either the cable to the HDD, or from the HDD to the cable. To move from the HDD to the cable-connected drive, highlight the HDD from System Settings, Memory, hit Y, then choose Transfer Content.
