Xbox one to Xbox 360 sign in. 'Last signed in on another console.'

Was on my xbox one then signed out and signed in on my xbox 360, told gamertag was last signed in on another console. Should I be worried. From what I read online I kinda got the idea that the two are separate consoles. I only have my gamertags on my Xbox
one and 360. So I shouldn't be worried. I just would like someone to confirm what that I have nothing to worry about.

Backwards compatibility question

You can login, make sure you are logged into a profile on your xbox one, then hit the back and start (view and menu) buttons in x360 mode... That brings up the option to sign into profiles and download profiles.

Even if you use another xbox 360 it should let you login to a xbox 360 profile and it should just say it was last signed in on another system. I'd make sure you are signed into a profile, if you are trying splitscreen stuff make sure your friend signs into his xbox one profile before then signing into his xbox 360 profile.

Awkward, but it works. Been busting up borderlands splitscreen in bc for a couple days.

 

360 and One on same gold account

If I sign in to Xbox Live on my Xbox One, will I also be able to sign in on the same account on my 360 at the same time? Say someone is using the Xbox One in the living room and I'm playing my 360 in my bedroom. Will I be able to use the same account?


WHITTEN: Yes this works! You'll be able to be signed on with the same gamertag on both an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One console at the same time. However, like today, you can only be signed into one Xbox 360 and one Xbox One at a time

Hi there,

if you played any 360 backwards compatible games on the One, this will count as a different console. Which will result in the 360 saying you were logged in on a different console.

If that is the case you shouldn't have to worry, if that wasn't the case then I would advise changing your password and security settings and removing any 360 consoles from remembering your password. See step 1 and 2 for this link:

I also wanted to add that you can see where your tag was signed in last at commerce.microsoft.com

 

Thank you again. I don't have to worry about it anymore knowing that it only happens when I play backwards compatible games. And that link just shows my recent orders. But I do know where to go to check when I was last signed in and everything checks out.
