Xbox One to W10 PC streaming problem - overloading network connections?

    Hi!

I've found something strange when streaming Xbox One to PC. When the streaming is ON the bandwidth of the Xbox connection is fully used and it doesn't matter what connection type you have. I have tested this on 1Gbit wired connection. Same behavior. With
streaming OFF the console is downloading data at 270+Mbit speed (ISP optics 300Mbit). With streaming ON the download of the content in the console shows a speed 1Mbit, max 2Mbit. The line speed between PC and Xbox One is 100% 1Gbit. This shows not to be a
problem of the network adapters because both, wired and wireless is acting same after Streaming is ON. Streaming is working trough LAN but internet connection is needed too for the account login. So i think there is a software problem - streaming service problem
in the Xbox W10 OS. The streaming is overloading every connection type on the console after activation - wrong bandwidth managing.

How is it possible that on the 1Gbit LAN, 300Mbit ISP connection is streaming generating on the PC network quality problems? How is it possible that on 1Gbit LAN and at max. 20Mbit needed for the streaming (FHD) the games are not playable and full of laggs?

    Description - probably cause:

info: for FHD streaming is 20Mbit needed

situation 1: 100Mbit LAN streaming ON = 99Mbit used by the console even when only 20Mbit is needed

situation 2: 1Gbit LAN streaming ON = 999Mbit used by the console even when only 20Mbit is needed

situation 3: 270Mbit 5Ghz wireless streaming ON = max. used used by the console even when only 20Mbit is needed - content download impossible (at <100Kb speed).

Not antivirus problem, no closed ports problem, NAT open, no network issues, ping <1ms and stable, TP category 5e or 6 without problems, latest updates on the console and PC (w10 x64 1709), streaming test OK - very high OK.

After reading hundreds of posts there is still no solution for this, the same problem shows to be on the new Xbox One X too.
It is time to solve the streaming problems Microsoft!

    :)

  2. Connect Controller to xbox through PC

    Hello

When streaming your Xbox One to your W10 PC you can just connect your controller to your PC and play like this. W10 should have the controller drivers ready to go already, just connect your controller via a USB cable or via Bluetooth (Bluetooth is only available
if you have the new controller which comes with the Xbox One S)

"game streaming is turned off on your xbox one. To turn it back on, go to your console and open settings > preferences"

    Hi All,

Just got W10 update for my XB1, i am trying to stream my xbox to my PC. Xbox is connected and everything on the same network. However, everytime i go to stream games this error appears "game streaming is turned off on your xbox one. To turn it back on, go
to your console and open settings > preferences".

Obviously i checked my xbox one and there all streaming settings are enabled. I didnt find anything online regarding this and its really frustrating as i just want to play in my office.

I am running W10 home N and i also installed Media Feature Pack.

    hope someone can help!

Intermittent lag spikes while Xbox game streaming to PC

I have a similar problem and it has developped only in the last couple of months. I have a gigabit Netgear switch (64 port), cat 6 cabling, and an Asus RT87 router. My PCs are wired connections as is my Xbox One. I can stream HD video round the house
with no problem at all. I do run Bitdefender and was wondering if this might be the issue. I have tested on 2 PCs - one running W10 and one running W10 anniversary. Even on medium quality the stream will work fine for a bit and then drop out.

Apologies for highjacking, but it sounds like a similar issue.

Best Method for Xbox One streaming?

If you are just talking about playing your XB on your PC monitor... (not twitch stream) there is no need to connect your XB directly to your PC as all the info is sent through your network... meaning the output travels from your XB to your router and gets
forwarded to your PC running W10

    Xbox One S Bluetooth Compatibility...

The redesigned controller has added Bluetooth to make it easier to connect to a W10 PC. That is all. The Xbox One S does not use Bluetooth to connect to the controller.
