  1. Xbox One to TV without HDMI input

Hi. I have an Xbox one but my TV does not have a HDMI input. It is a bit old but plays my 360 through the RGBYB inputs with the 360 TV lead set to HD. It has scart, s-video, PC IN (D-SUB) and the Yellow, White and Red inputs and can go up to a resolution
of 1080i (not 1080P). I currently play the 360 on the 720P setting. How can I connect the Xbox One to this TV? Buying a HD TV is not an option at the moment. Thanks.

    :)

    Xbox One audio

Need help with xbox one audio. I have my xbox one HDMI cable running from XB1 (HDMI out) to my TV on one of the several HDMI inputs. The XB1 comes up great on the TV but no sound through the XB1 headset. Neither my Direct TV or Receiver go through the XB1, they are on another HDMI input on the TV - I want to keep them seperate. Why can't I hear the XB1 through the XB1 headset? Thanks

    Neet Splitter Setup Help

Yes, so say the splitter goes to hdmi input 1 on your tv, that will allow you to watch your cable box without your Xbox on.

HDMI out on your Xbox goes to hdmi input 2 on your tv, this means you can watch TV when your Xbox is on.

    Hey fredbloggs!

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to the console to use any video output other than hdmi.

Do you have a dvd player or other media center device close to your xbox? If so, look around it for an hdmi in port. Some dvd players have an hdmi port on them that will allow you to convert it to a video plug suitable for your tv.

If no, you can always search around online or go to an electronics store for a device that will convert an hdmi plug to some other format of plug.

I can find a adapter for you online if you'd like.

  5. You can find an "HDMI to component cable" online, this will split the HDMI in; red, white, yellow, blue and green

Then it should work to just plug in the red white and yellow cable

Or you can get a component to scart converter if you'd rather use scart

This solution might not work though, depending on wether your tv supports scart in 720p or not since the xbox one only send out a signal of 720p or higher

Using this method might give you a distorted image and/or no sound

It is still highly recommended you get a tv with HDMI or a computer monitor which supports DVI

in case of the computer monitor you can find an " HDMI to DVI+audio " cable online

As FearedNightmare said, there are converters for HDMI - to DVI, VGA and component which will work. I use an active HDMI to VGA adapter to use my One with a projector. But there are two things you need to keep in mind when going this route. To begin with,
you will need to shop carefully and look for an active converter Ii.e. powered either by USB or AC) and steer clear of just cables with the proper connections. Most (if not all) if those cables are meant to go INTO HDMI and not the converse - in other words
they don't work both ways. This mostly applies to component and VGA which are analog HD, DVI may not have this same issue as it is still digital and doesn't need converting. Make sure you research them properly before buying. The second thing is by using these
adapters you won't be able to watch BluRays, DVDs, or any other streaming videos copy protected by HDCP (Like Halo: Nightfall - that one really irked me). Most streaming services won't be an issue (like Amazon), but I have heard some of NetFlix content has
HDCP and cannot be watched if you use a setup like this.

Maplin sell a HDMI to VGA converter which I can try. I use my 360 through the Rgbyb inputs at 720P. I know there will be loss in picture quality though. It is a plasma screen JVC LC32636-001B.

  10. Actual model name is PD-42B50BJ. The manual says it can be used as a computer screen and to connect using a commercially available D Sub cable. It can display as 640x480 (VGA) or 1024x768 (XGA).

  14. Update: The product I found on amazon works! It was a bit messed up to begin with but once I got into the settings I changed it to 640x480 resolution and the picture appeared as nice as you like. I know this is not using the full power of the xbox one
at the moment but it was certainly playable and looked as good as a 360 does on my TV. Well worth a try for a small amount of money and temporary solution. I havent tried TV or netflix but the gadget does say it is HDCP compliant.
