Destiny... Not in Japan

So I see that Xbox One in Japan might not be getting a release of Destiny. The X1 launches in Japan on September 4 but on September 11 when Destiny launches in Japan no love for Xbox.. No 360 or X1 version. Seems it could have been a good title to have right
around launch to sell consoles.

Xbox One to launch in Japan for September. I don't think the Xbox One will do very well in Japan, unless Microsoft
release some good Japanese games.

 

Japan is the one market where I believe MS will struggle. Sony is too big in Japan. They might surprise us but I doubt it.

 

To be honest I can't see them doing well here at all. Unless they have a stunning line up of games that appeal to the Japanese gamer.

 

Well, my fingers are crossed for a successful launch there. Go MS! You can do it!

 

I wonder fi it's ever possible for Ms to gain anything in Japan. I remember reading how they boycotted Tales of Vesperia until it got a PS3 release. I know the console market isn't big anymore in Japan but if snagging exlcusive games that appeal to the audience
doesn't work what can they do?

 

yh sony are so big that they only sold 800,000 ps4 to a country with over 127.6million

 

Probably need to make more Japanese niche games, i mean wasn't sega bass fishing number 1 over there for yonks, can't take a western approach to an eastern market, i doubt it will do well, it's Sonys home turf but i am sure they will sell a decent amount
of consoles regardless, i mean we've got a capcom game at least lol

@ Gh0stz It's quite ironic since microsoft didn't even hit 2 million there last gen with the 360 and that was over the course of a few years. I honestly don't even know why microsoft is wasting there time releasing in this country and since there is a steady
decline in home consoles I can see them not doing great in Japan!!

This is what has surprised me. Recent figures show a decline in hardware/software sales in Japan, especially over the last 6 months so I really can't see Xbox One doing well, to be honest I couldn't really see it doing that well there even if sales were
booming.

Be interesting to see 6 months after it releases just how well it will do.

 

I have my doubts too for this region. I aint slamming the X1 at all but I know the Japanese like their tech in a fair few respects and I cant see them going for an all in one. I may be wrong but with how much variety they have already. Lets just wait and

The think also,Japanese gamers changed a little bit their way to play videogames.Less home consoles more tablets and mobile phones....

This may be the scenario... They have their tech.. they have their powerhouse PCs with super high end graphics.... what they do not have is what the XB1 offers... something new to the table... that alone might help it sell.. but like most say... good to
be in that market... but I wouldnt expect much from it...
