thing is, the X1 is much faster and easier to use, when you use the Kinect as MS originally meant, but they are already taking a step back so people who use the controller will have a easier time, looks like next update will bring the friends tab back, which
I hated on the 360, took too long to load.

  2. I think the Xbox One would be "too" complicated for anyone who can't tell the difference between "to" and "too." Xbox one to complicated.... :p

Unless you live in one of the countries that voice commands aren't enabled in, which is most countries than it's not that easy. I agree with the Op.

How could they expect to sell something that only works in some countries? You have to admit, that is a really stupid decision even if only temporary.

X1 is slot faster and simpler than 360 hands down. I've been back and forth on both since x1 launch. 360 ui is very slow And annoying IMO compared to x1. Also I can go to the dash without exiting the game. Win IMO.

This was part 2/2 of the video I put up last night. Navigation using the controller, is faster on Xbox 1's predecessor mainly thanks to the Xbox Guide menu too. You'll find part 1/1 on my channel too. You have to see both videos to experience why in my point
the 360's UI is a bit quicker.

The design except the guide button is so clunky on the 360. Everything I need is on home or slightly left. All without leaving a game to get to it.

  9. Bird, while I didn't watch the entirety of both your videos, I did time both videos (using the time stamp on the videos) for both checking messages and signing in. While you appear to be right about the former being faster on the 360 (3 seconds on the 360
vs. 6 seconds on the One), signing in your profile is the opposite (taking 11 seconds on the One vs. 22 seconds on the 360). Granted, this is just from your video and representative of YOUR console and not necessarily everyone else's console. I will do the
same on my own consoles and let you know of my own personal results so we can continue to compare and speculate ad nauseum. Xbox one to complicated.... ;)

  10. My console times

Turn on AND sign in: Xbox 360 - 1 minute, 15 seconds; Xbox One - 22 seconds (fast startup).

Checking Messages: Xbox 360 - 5 seconds; Xbox One - 3 seconds (from pins); Xbox One w/voice commands - 3 seconds (which includes the time it took to say it).

This to me, Bird proves that the timing of various actions on both consoles is relative based on how much information your console has to process as well as how long it takes for it to process and update any information from Xbox Live (which means your Internet
connection IS a factor). And for the record, my Internet speed is similar to yours with 6mbps down and 1mbps, but with 1/2 of the ping yours has (80-100 ping vs. your 200+ ping). Basically, your argument and evidence is invalid or at least inconclusive. Xbox one to complicated.... ;)

That being said, with the Xbox One using newer and faster hardware, I'm willing to bet that in most cases, it will win out. Xbox one to complicated.... :)

Thanks for watching. While I disagree it's invalid (since others on here have said 360 is faster than 1 with the controller) I agree it's inconclusive. Microsoft is bringing (or has brought already) 2 Azure data centres to Australia which I hope will ease
New Zealanders especially, and Australia, since we are the countries furtherest away from Microsoft's US servers. I get the feeling though that M has Xbox 360 servers near NZ though given the fairly good UI performance on my Xbox 360 250gb slim console which
I've had since I joined Xbox late 2010 and is in good working condition.

I still think UI performance is also.... based on how M makes the software. If you have a good OS, a product will function well. I've tried Windows Vista it was horrible to Windows 7. The amount of more resources it used in Task Manager compared to Windows
    7. Since launch however, M has released updates which HAVE improved navigation speed on the Xbox 1 Dashboard using... the controller.

PS: lol, I didn't even know how to start a party on Xbox 1 as evidence in my video. I'm sure everyone will get more use to the Dashboard as time progresses. The console hasn't been out for 9 months yet.

I do like the fact that I can go to the dashboard without exiting the game; thats a huge win. I will not want to miss this again!

I just hate how Long it takes to open friends and Messages apps. Is it because of the ping?!? Xbox Shows me a ping of 203 MS even though when i go to the computer and use speedtest.net it Shows me a ping of 11ms!!! Why is the ping on the xbox one so much
higher. Is it really the time it takes to get data from europe to the US and back? why do they not have a Server in europe as well?

My X1 is much faster than the 360, except when booting up, as I'm using "Energy Saver". I use Kinect on the X1 and everything is instantaneous; the few times I've compared them JUST using the control pad, they seemed to be about equal on most things.

    Peace, J.R.

Actually, I would like to see a Video of someone opening a simple message and replying to it on xbox one. This process takes me over a Minute while in a game and thats really the only Thing I am frustrated with. Maybe because i'm in Germany and the Servers
are overseas but ist just soooo slow. Same with friends app and this stupid feed that will slow down the friends app.

Yes, the guide button is insteneaous, but not the Standard apps like mentioned above...

What do you want videos of? Achievements? Games? Apps? Messages? What? I'll show you load times on both systems. No matter what it is, it's faster on the Xbox One and as I have just proven, I'm more than happy to prove it.

This isn't a matter of praise or hate. A statement was made that was blatantly false. And that annoys the crap out of me. So I proved it wrong. But we live in the age of digital media. So you can go ahead and prove me wrong, if you can. Otherwise, don't
    bring it up again.

That's really petty. I have no reason to go into this crap again on this forum. MY X1 is not instantaneous at all, going to the home screen...yes it's fast but that's it, everything else seems to take age's, e.g. pulling up achievements or friends. Apps
like YouTube take about the same amount of time on both for Me.

Again, the 360 is slow at initial startup but after that it's fine. For the difference in power and the fact the X1 has 3 OS's (or something like that), it's really not that impressive.

Look, I like both My X1 & 360. I'm not going to sit here and praise the X1 to the death though, In a year or two when it's more refined then probably....but not now.
