The PS4 hasn't had to do a price drop and they offer ton of good free games right out the box. I spent hours on resogun as soon as i bought my ps4 i played it before i even opened my new games

 

Hell, Sony is so for the gamers that they increased the price in Canada by $50CN! And all of the addons, controllers and software by $10CN!

Logically, if 10 people buy PS4 and 10 buy Xbox One every week, and 10 PS4s come in every week and 15 Xbox Ones, then logically there is an Xbox One overflow without selling less. Hell, the Xbox One tripled the PS4's hardware sales in the US this week, and
outsold Software 10-1.

If Walmart sells 10 Xbox Ones at $500 and can't convince others to buy it by lowering the price, they will make $5000, a proportion of which goes to MS. Also, 10 people can now potentially buy software there. IF they sell 15 Xbox Ones at $450 and convince
"on the fence" people, they will make $6750, a higher proportion of which will go to MS. However, now 15 people have been added to potential software sales which eventually will lead to higher profits, as the console being sold makes the stores little profit.

It's a business strategy.

Not only is the PS4
supply constrained, it ships with less functionality. It's already $100 less than the MSRP of Xbox One.

What functionality are you talking about the Kinect and the TV?. Those two things are junk features that do nothing but produce extra revenue for Microsoft from the data they mine from there customers and sell to third party's.

I don't think most people even think about the real reason they force these so called non gaming related features.

And before anybody posts up something like it's not true read what you agread to they spell it out in the fine print. Sure there are ways to opt out but how many people actually do. If they are going to pimp out my data I want a cut!!!

And the Canadian dollar is the reason the price is going up it's at .89 to the US dollar and projected to bottom out in the .7 range in the future. With the supply issues that exist there is no reason to take such a huge loss.

If someone threw a free PS4 at me I would catch it and install it, I am not proud. I simply do not see a reason over a couple OK exclusives and some graphics which are negated by the good upscaler, which will even out (thanks DX12). The CPU is now monumentally
more powerful than PS4's and the GPU is as powerful, so I can see no reason to buy it and blow £350 on it.

Also, your Silver account shows your brand alliegence, not to mention the aggressive assaults on anything pro Xbox. On an Xbox forum.

Don't play the powerful card, 'cos it ain't. Holiday 2015 is when the CPU and GPU upgrades will start showing up in games, and exclusives are going to DROP PS4 with it. A 50% and 20% boost respectively, with the first effectively making the second 30%, is
not shabby. But wait, wasn't PS4 30% more powerful in the GPU?

@browny lol X1 isn't even close in sales to PS4. Which is still sold out.

They losing right out the gate and the dx12 will improve the x1 is just bs PR!! It aint going to do a dam thing.

The PS4's API gives it all of these advantages already, while it'll take a year for DX12 to show any noticeable improvements to the Xbox One. Which basically puts the Xbox One a year behind the PS4 performance wise.

Just google OpenGL and read the wiki. It doesn't really require a "fortune teller" to line up DirectX12 features that have already been announced and compare them to the existing OpenGL.

OpenGL is already in use on the PS4. PS4 owners and developers don't have to wait for these benefits.

I own an xbox one and my new ps4 arrives tuesday, i will enjoy both worlds so i dont hide from facts
