I'm a day one adopter, and I'm very upset over this. It's not fair and something needs to be done about it. Us early buyer's should be the first to receive a free game download. Why are we cheated for supporting the launch?

I'm in the same situation buddy (D3RTY D) I Bought an Xbox One a week ago for sole reason of playing Titanfall, I had received a beta code and bought the Xbox One on Feb 17). Just a few days later the Titanfall Xbox One bundle was announced, I felt stabbed...
Microsoft could had announced the bundle prior to beta testing and I paid the same retail price as the announced bundle $499. I tried returning the console to the retailer but they refused since it was already opened. All I want is to get a copy of Titanfall
game if possible (digital code or physical) or some compensation. It's only fair since my purchase was done so recently and retailer won't accept a return. So far all I have gotten from Microsoft/Xbox support team is a 'Deal with It' attitude.

  3. I am in the exact same situation. My Xbox One was bought less than a month ago and I was looking forward to Titanfall. But now this feeling of being entirely ripped off because I had more faith in Xbox/Microsoft than the people who haven't purchased yet
is making me think I won't be buying it all-together (along with other purchases). Hopefully Microsoft can change my mind soon.

You people are all whiny babies. I bought my system a week before the end of the Titanfall beta as well. I am not upset or disappointed in the slightest because that's the way the industry works. If a system is not doing as well as expected, if you wait
you will get better deals. Stop crying in your cereal bowls and man up. WE should have waited.

I also do not like the fact that the Turtle Beach or Polk headsets were not able to be sold and that our old ones had to be rigged to use them. I did mod mine that came with the one so that I can chat through my turtle beach but if you are announcing something
release them all at the same time. Another fail.

You may feel like you've been cheated, but you haven't. As of the time that you bought your console, the economic short comings of the Xbox One in the UK were un-foreseeable - cutting the price of the console is an understandable business practice. Buying
next generation tech on day one is always a risky practice for multiple reasons, and this is one of them. I am a Day One buyer and I am in no way inclined to feel robbed because this was a risk that I took in buying from the get-go, just like the rest of you
here. Do you also feel cheated that given the exchange rate, the United States still has the console on for sale for £100 less than over here, even after our price drop? If you want to be financially annoyed by something, that is it.

Still no word from MS about this issue? Does anybody from MS even read these forums? Why did they ask me to post my complaint in the forum if nobody was going to answer?

I came to the forums to post this exact same dilemma, I bought my xbox 3 weeks ago and then they announce this new titanfall bundle. I thought about calling to see if they would do anything but after reading this you saved me a phone call that wouldn't have
ended well. I guess my only option is to return my box and then buy the bundle, it's a headache I don't think is necessary when ms can just give a download code but one I'm willing to do to get what I think is fair. My biggest concern is how to transfer my
game saves and ryse download to the new box.

@brownstone80: Your game saves are by default saved to the Cloud. Assuming you haven't changed this setting, when you get your new console, all you will have to do is re-install the game, connect to the internet and your console will sync to the Cloud, allowing
you to carry on from where you left off.

*Apologies for the slightly off-topic post.

  10. Me and my brother bought Xbox One systems during the holiday season in anticipation of Titanfall and now it is FREE! We both feel cheated not just for this fact, but the overall system was not even ready when we purchased it. Online multiplayer and many
different aspects we have come to love about Xbox are thrown out and it is like Microsoft just released a beta system for us "guinea pigs" to try and not even have the decency to include us when they decide to release an exclusive title for free to the next
generation of Xbox. I am not going to sell my Xbox over this ordeal but my future consuming of anything Microsoft will definitely be hard to justify for this moment unless something is done about it. All of the suggestions D3RTY D made sound like a great place
    to start.

I am a Day One guy here and honestly, I am on the fence about this one. I can see your view of purchasing it and so shortly afterwards a bundle coming out giving away a game. I can see why you would be angered. Its kinda the same deal with the US pre-orders
versus the UK pre-orders. I am sure everyone is aware of the UK getting a free game along with a pre-order. Here in the US, you got the pride and satisfaction of owning a new system. So I can understand your pain on that aspect.

But also on the same hand, if you have ever shopped for electronics you know the price fluctuates drastically following sales. Everyone that has followed sales stories can tell you the PS4 has out sold the X1 since launch. Now while a bundle is kinda shocking
to some this early in the generation, I am not really that surprised. I was expecting it by the summer time. I surely wasn't expecting it to come with an XBox exclusive game. I kinda figured a price cut or bundle would be announced right before Destiny came
out with it being a on both systems. I thought Microsoft would try and sway more people towards their system versus the PS4.

Now with all that said, some compensation would be nice given my points above, but I am not going to hold my breath. Xbox users have always been known to pay a premium for their service over the competitors.

  12. You guys realize that this is a tech support forum, right? Yes, staff members from Microsoft read these, but as this is a support forum and not a feedback forum (which you can find here:

    forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx
) you won't get a response like you expect. As has been pointed out by several forum users, deals like these are normal and something that Day One purchasers must expect to see down the road. Console prices drop; bundles
get created; etc. This same thing holds true with games. Even DLC that is exclusive for a preorder has the potential to be re-released for sale to everybody sometime after the games release. Do those of you upset over the Titanfall bundle expect to get DLC
for free when it goes up for sale after being a pre-order bonus for another store than you purchased from? Do you expect if a game goes on sale or is price reduced (such as being marked as a "Platinum Hit") that you should get part of your money back because
it is now cheaper? Why would you expect compensation now?

The price dropped a week after I bought the console. The only reason I even bought the console was to play the beta. They lured me into buying a console a week before the announcement of the bundle by dangling the beta in front of me. The whole thing seems
    a bit calculated to me.

Thanks FreGames4LIVE. I will post there.

I don't know how many times this has been echoed in the thread, but the best course of action would be to return the console that you have for a store credit or refund. Most retail locations have at least a 30 day refund policy, and I'm sure the Microsoft
store has something similar to that.

    So:

    1) Box up and return your console for a refund. Use refund money to pre-order Titanfall bundle.

    2) Cancel Titanfall pre-order. I know the Microsoft store is super good about not giving you grief about changing pre-order plans, I did the same thing when I picked up my Xbox One on day one.

And I actually did save $70 when I purchased my console on day one. Bundling it with a couple of games and an extended warranty reduced the overall price quite a bit.

Once the console is opened you cannot return it for a monetary refund. You can only return it for the same SKU which is another normal xb1 console.
