Xbox One Titanfall bundle dilemma. Please read MS

    To whom it may concern,

I'm really excited about Titanfall and when I found out they were going to do a beta I quickly signed up to get a code. I received my code on valentines day 2/14/14 and immediately bought the Xbox One the same day. I had been planning on buying the Xbox
One eventually, once some multiplayer games came out for it that I actually wanted to play. Since the beta closed, I have not touched my Xbox One and I preordered my copy of Titanfall through the Microsoft store. I purchased a console for $500 and the game
for $60 for a grand total of $560. I found out yesterday that Microsoft is planning of releasing a Titanfall bundle where you get an Xbox One with a digital version of Titanfall for only $500. I've had the console for exactly 11 days as I write this but have
only used it for 6 days (Titanfall beta).I feel like I'm getting ripped off for $60. I called 1-800-4MY-XBOX to see if Microsoft was going to do anything to subsidize the price difference for new console purchasers. There was nothing anybody could do over
there after speaking with hardware and then accounts. They suggested I call the Microsoft store. After speaking with someone over there, I quickly realized they have no clue about anything. It was as if I was speaking another language. After calling customer
support again they suggested I post something in the forums. So here I am out $60 and I have a feeling nothing is going to be done to rectify the situation. I sincerely hope my voice is heard. I am trying to get this resolved as quickly as possible because
the further away from 2/14/14 I get the less leverage I have for justifying some sort of gift from Microsoft to help subsidize the price difference. I have few suggestions that would make me feel like I'm not getting ripped off.

    1. download code for 1 year Xbox gold live. ($60 value) This is probably the most fair suggestion because the consumer gets a $60 value and the Microsoft won't actually be losing any money.

    2. because I purchased through the Microsoft store send the game for free and I'll pay the tax. ($60 value)

    3. Let me cancel my Titanfall preorder and send me a digital download code for the game for free.

    4. send me a code of $60 in Microsoft cash

I hope this gets read by Microsoft and they do something for their loyal customers especially in the wake of this new console war. I have been a member of Xbox live for 8+ years and purchased all three consoles. In fact, I have purchased 4 Xbox 360s because
of them breaking. I don't particular like the new operating system on the Xbox One, I don't have cable television, and I never use the Kinect. I'm starting the second guess my purchase of the Xbox One over the PS4. Please don't make me regret being a loyal
    Microsoft consumer.

    Sincerely,

    :)

MS do not let Titanfall or any Titanfall Sequel Appear on PS4!!!

MS is so desperate they made a Titanfall Xbox One bundle and bought Gears of War from Epic. MS knows they need exclusives since their Xbox One sales are not what they expected.

  3. Xbox One with Titanfall now £369.97 in Gamestop UK

Yesterday MS announced that the UK would get a price drop in the Xbox One of £30. That was not enough for Gamestop they are now giving the Titanfall bundle away for just £369.97.

Here is your chance Microsoft, to get some positive press and show the world why they should buy a Xbox One over the PS4.

Agree with the above comments 100%.

I can't think of a single early adopter that won't feel cheated by the price drop so soon after launch. Something needs to be done to restore some faith in the XBone. :-(

I understand they are doing this promotion because of Sony's success but I completely agree. Us, who preordered the system and/or waited in lines are being cheated out of a free game. The only advantage I received for having my money sit in limbo in my account
for months was a controller with a day one imprint. This just shows that we should never buy one of their consoles upon release. I hope they wise up and try to fix this mistake.

    D3RTY D thanks for trying,

I have to say yesterday when I saw the price of the Xbox one Titanfall bundle I was very upset. I would understand a price drop after a year but 3 months. So I went to my local Gamestop to see what the trade in value of a Xbox one is. Right now you can
get $450 for your Xbox One when you trade it for a new system. That is more than what the PS4 cost. I am really thinking of going to the dark side.

My next complaint is that of being an old gamer and the fact is I still enjoy a good campaign mode. I know that I am way out numbered on this idea. But at least Garden Warfare didn't want to take so much advantage of me that they would charge $60 for half
a game. It is not that I didn't enjoy the beta of Titanfall, it just that it has such great potential for campaign. I know I am complaining about a game that is not out so I don't have much to stand on here.

I have been an Xbox guy for a long time. I talked so many friends into not going to the dark side. When the One came out I was not WOWED, but i know it will get better. After all the 360 did. I don't need ONE item to try to pretend to take place of all
my devices. After all of this I still want to be an Xbox guy. It just that why should I.

Have faith I am Sinned. Microsoft has yet to give us the finger on this issue. I'm hoping someone will read this and seriously take my recommendations into consideration. Be patient, they only did the press release for the Titanfall bundle 2 days ago.

Unfortunately prices go up and down on electronics and limited time promotions (in which the Titanfall bundle is) and discounts are common. If you're within the return period then taking back your system is an option then re-purchasing.

The last time they did this to us the early adopters got two free games and a controller.

  11. I agree with the OP. I bought mine at the local Microsoft store on 2/15. I may just return it and buy the bundle, but I should not have to. It would cost MS more by having a used conslole when they could easily give us a DL code.

I will just bump and add that this is the same for most of us, so if we all put complaints into one thread instead of dozens then maybe, just maybe Microsoft may read them.

Agreed. This whole situation is ridiculous they have shown NO sign of rewarding or at least showing appreciation those who were loyal enough to get the system outright. Now they are 'bribing' people to get it with a free game so soon after launch; the
game many people bought the system for originally. If they don't do something to fix this I will be moving on to playstation.

  14. Clearly Microsoft doesn't think the Xbox One is selling fast enough, and this is an attempt to goose sales and catch up with Sony's Playstation 4 sales numbers. I'm glad to see Microsoft isn't being complacent; as an owner I want to see the Xbox One do well
(more sales equals more support and more games I can play).

At the same time, hey Microsoft how about throwing early adopters some kind of a bone? Give us a discount coupon for TitanFall. Or if that's no viable, do something else to say "Hey, thanks for being one of the people who believed in us from Day One." I'm
not asking for a free £50 game or anything that big, but some token of appreciation would be go a long way towards making early adopters feel better about the much better deal they could of had if they'd just waited a couple of months to buy.

Price cuts are part of the lifespan of a game console but having one come along when the system has been on shelves for less than 4 months is pretty unusual, which is why I'm a little bit ****ed off.

Nintendo launched the 3DS in March of 2011 and by August had dropped the price by around $80 in the US. To placate early adopters who paid full price, Nintendo launched an "Ambassador" program that offered 20 free games to those buyers. That's called looking
    after your customers.

Xbox UK managing director Harvey Eagle said Microsoft had no intention of offering a similar deal to Xbox One early adopters. Stay classy Microsoft.

When Microsoft cut the price of the original Xbox in 2002 though, (for the same reason – sluggish sales) it offered two free games to early adopters and an extra controller.
