@omega man, How much was your I7 core? My Xboxone cost me about £290............
What you pay extra in hardware you make up in paying less for games.

I've just paid under £4 for 8 Sega games and a collection of 10 MegaDrive classics from HumbleBundle.com.

Batman: Arkham Knight has been pre-ordered for £34.99 from Amazon. The same game on the One is £15 more expensive.

That's the trade off you make. Higher prices for hardware but cheaper pricing on games.

  2. ^^Those are some sweet game deals you got there, apart from the Batman pre-order, i am sure a month after launch it will drop to under £30 possibly even round the £20 mark if they are doing those video game card deals were you get it free with a new video
card, that's when i strike. lol

  3. I know if I waited I could likely grab Batman: Arkham Knight for 70% off in a Steam sale but I do like me some Batman and I'm not sure I'm capable of waiting to play it.

The price was simply to demonstrate the often large price difference between games at launch on the PC compared to their console counterpart. If you are saving five, ten, fifteen pounds per game, by the time you need to upgrade your PC you are going to have
    the money to do so.

^^Very true, even if you were to buy the games new your still saving quite a bundle on each game compared to the console versions.

And i also like me some Batman, but my joy for it increase exponentially the cheaper i get it for. lol

  5. In most cases I just wait and buy a pre-owned one. I can wait months for a lot of games and there's only a few I would get on release date. Though that may happen once or twice a year, at best.

  6. ^^^Pre-owned is ok, but these days i simply wait for either a drop in price for new, or my fav version, GOTY, love those versions. Xbox One + Titan Fall £364.95 :)

  7. Oh yeah GOTY is always a good deal. Especially when they come with all DLC on disk. Love those myself too.

i am eyeing up Titanfall, cheapest i have seen it is £24, but i am sure a few weeks will see that price drop a bit more.
Oh wow. No self-respecting PC Gamer would buy this, it doesn't even have a
    server browser.

  9. Because no self respecting PC gamer would enjoy a game unless has that? Xbox One + Titan Fall £364.95 :)

You don't get it do you? Absolute control, that's why. There's a multitude of reasons why having a server browser is beneficial, so many that your head just might explode.

  11. Well, last time I checked (and that's every time I play a game I might add) gaming was about the measure of fun and enjoyment and not so much about what is holding it up. So, when I put a disc in my console or download a game, I do 3 things.

1: Press start at the games main menu.

2: Load my game save (or) select online play.

    3: Enjoy the game.

Past that I really don't care what makes the game run, what the game runs on or what resolution the game is hitting and the rest of that techy-stuff.

Head explosions aside, I get as much as I need to get Xbox One + Titan Fall £364.95 :)

Tescos have an Xbox-one with Titanfall for £349. I'm worried it will be beating the deal I got soon lol. An PC gamer might love server browsers, but console gamers don't care about them.

  14. Sorry guys! For some reason I couldn't see my last post it was just an invisible wall.

Chroffy, glad you agree bud. It's a statement I will always stand by. Gaming (for the consumer) should just be about fun.

Ohh im good, deals are getting better and better aint they!!

I was eyeing a combo of a One and Dead Rising 3 on the GAME site. Would have cost me about £380.

In the end I bought a GeForce GTX 760 from Dabs and got a free copy of 'Daylight'.
