Xbox one time outs.

I just purchased a Xbox one 3 days ago and really like the system so I'm trying my best to take care of it,I would like to know on how many hrs is it safe to play games before taking a time out also do 1080p make a difference in system getting hot.

xbox one skype times out when starting up

First hard reset (hold down power button on the console for 8 seconds while its turned on) when it boots back up uninstall/reinstall the Skype app and it should work just fine

xbox one skype times out when starting up

So i got a new Xbox one on friday I love it but my skype times out

steps

1. go to apps

2 select the skype

3 sit at the blue skype screen for about 2 minutes

4. error message comes up and says its cant open skype becuase it time out

What do i need to do to fix this?

Play until you pass out!

1080p will not make the system run hot.

Do turn it off once an awhile though.

Play as long as you want. It'll turn off on its own after awhile if not in use

I've found that it's also a good idea to do a "hard" shutdown every few days (Hold the power button down for 5-6 seconds until the light on the power adapter flashes). It will take a little longer to boot up the next time you turn it on, but that's no big
deal.

If you use a bunch of apps or switch between different games repeatedly, the console keeps a lot of stuff running in background, and it can cause some minor game glitches after a while.

...which is why it's a good idea to make sure you close down your games and apps when you're done with them. To do that, simply go to the homescreen and highlight the game or app tile you wish to close. Once you've done that, you can press menu, scroll to
"quit" and select it. Doing this will close down the game or app for good so it won't run in the background or cause slow down later.

I never turn mine off.... the X stays glowing 24/7.... the last time I turned my off was about 1.5 months ago when my dashboard froze up.
