Xbox One time limits for adults

You can create a child account on your current parental account. You can not transfer games, saved progress etc. You can set the parental account to Home Xbox and the child account would have access to the games but not the saved progress.

It is not Microsofts fault that a child account was not set up.

You should of followed the family set up and created a child account for your child and added it to your parent account. It isn't absurd and Xbox has clear information on child accounts and how to control them via a family account https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/my-account/microsoft-account/microsoft-account-family-benefits

At some point in the not too distant future, your child will want their own account and will rightly be upset that they are losing all their games, gamer points, saves etc. Far better to create an account for them now, than having to explain to them in the
future why they can't have their games.

This is a non issue.

What part of being able to set screen time limits on one account, with a simple passkey code is confusing?

Since the passkey code is used for purchases, and access to games on the system why cant it be used to set screen limits.
