XBox One Tiles Not Avialable When No Internet

    Hey,

I have been experiencing some internet issues and for some reasons when it happens I cannot access any of my tiles. When I get the internet back up the tiles are then available.

Is my dashboard now a cloud feature or is something else happening?

    :)

    Hi Ichigo Nitro,

I moved your post to its own thread so we can tailor our support directly to you. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the tiles not populating with network connection.

The network connection is a great factor for the performance of the Xbox console. I suggest you go over the following:

I need help with my Xbox One network connection

    1. Choose 'I can connect, but I am experiencing connection quality issues'
    2. Next choose 'I am getting randomly disconnected from Xbox live'
    3. Next just follow the steps it guides you through to try a few solutions to remedy this problem.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

    Hi there HyJax LTD,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the tiles not populating with network connection.

The network connection is a great factor for the performance of the Xbox console.

Most apps are 3rd party and use the network to refresh and update. What apps are you having issues with?

The Xbox console is set to connect to a wireless network unless you place it on an offline mode. Check out these

Have you tried taking your console into offline to confirm that your console needs to be connected to the internet to show your tiles on your dashboard?

No, the DHCP Server was down and prevented broadcasting to and from the console, my router was restarted to clear the cache and connections were restored.

Some of the tiles rely on having a working internet connection (eg the ad based one(s)) however the local ones shouldn't require it. Have you tried going into your network settings during periods of internet disruption and selecting Go offline?

No. I just found it odd that my network connection would have anything to do with them showing up or not. Its not a matter of being able to access them because they just dont appear at all... none of them. Local or internet dependent ones (Netflix?).

It doesn't happen often, just when my router drops the internet signal. you would think it would go offline on its own, but again, its odd to they all disappear. The only thing I have is the top portion showing me my last apps used and the marketing banner
    (tips, friends points, ect).

Oh, you are referring to the groups section. Those tiles are dependent on the internet working properly as it is stored and/or retrieved from your profile. That is how you get to see the same dashboard layout when you log into a different console.
