Xbox one tiles issue on home screen

I'm having problems with the home screen since the update. I can't see the pictures of the games, my party chats and messaging. Is frustrating because I have to guess what was the last thing I had opened up. On top of each of these tile icons it says "MS
    resource app name"

    :)

Graphical Issue During First Boot Up On Home Screen

I've noticed when I first turn on my Xbox One, once the "Home" screen appears I see horizontal graphic issues. They issues seem to come from the Home screen only especially if a game is running in the large Home tile. When I switch to Pins, Friends, or
    Store, no graphic issues.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It doesn't seem like a "hardware" issue, more of a graphic driver issue handling the game video in large Home tile.

    Hey mate,

Thats not good to hear at all. Have you tried power cycling your console? To do so, follow these steps:

    Power cycle console

    1.Go to the Home screen.

2.Press the Menu button on the controller.

    3.Select Settings.

Note You can say “Xbox, go to settings” from any screen, but you’ll need a controller once you’re on the Settings screen.

    4.Go to Power & startup.

    5.Select Turn Xbox Off.

6.Select Yes. The console powers down.

7.Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Note If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

    Physically power cycle the console

1.Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will power down.

2.Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

Note If you don't see the green boot-up animation when the console restarts, repeat these steps. Make sure that you hold the power button until the console completely shuts down.

Important If your console is in Instant-On power mode, the above steps will shut the console completely off. Instant-On mode, or the ability to turn on your console by saying "Xbox on", won't be enabled until you restart the console.

You could try unplugging the console but if the power cycle doesn't work unplugging it would be no use. This seams like a major software problem that you will have to discuss with Xbox. So far, I don't think there is a solution to this problem.

In Case you are on preview program, it might be a bug. If not you should try to refresh your dashboard with pressing following buttons simultaneosly: LT+RT+Y Or you can also try clear xbox one cache by pressing xbox home button for 10sec, it will turn off
console completely. One thing you could also try go to Settings -> Disc & BLuray -> Persisten storage and clear that 3 times.

  10. I don't know if this has been answered or not but will answer this anyway:

you need to Factory Reset your console... This isn't as scary as it sounds...

Same thing happened to me few weeks ago and been searching for alternative fix but none out there. My main Qs were "how do I know what I need to reinstall" and "what happens to my saves" etc...

    Simple answer is:

when you log back into to your account, if you goto your "games and app" area, you'll see a "ready for download" section and here you'll see everything you've installed in the past, and no need to repurchase, just click and reinstall - simple and effective

as for your saves, these are in the MS cloud so as long as your last save was done whilst connected to LIVE (no need for Gold, this is all Live accounts) then your saves will be backed up to date...

And only takes 5 minutes to reset your console, very little hassle. The reinstall games/apps part of it will of course depend on your connection speed!!

I think those were the main scary points for me but if anyone has any questions feel free to ask as I only did this yesterday. If I can answer it for you I will.

I'm a Preview member but I don't think this is connected as it hasn't happened to any others that I know are on the programme, just bum luck!!!

I hope this avails anyone else fear of a factory reset - MS XBox well done, impressed with this feature...
