Xbox one ticking sound

    Before when I was playing on my Xbox one it was all okay but then when I moved it from when I cleaning I turn it on and it was making ticking sound but it didn't power off or anything

    My issue is that the fan ticks. The console is set up in a bedroom. When everything is turned off (or on standby), I hear this fast "tick, tick, tick" from the Xbox One PSU. I specifically built my PC to be as close to silent as I could make it, so I can
    even hear the Xbox One PSU ticking over the sound of my PC when that's turned on. I'm not saying that the noise is "loud", because it's not. But any noise that can clearly and constantly be heard when a product is supposedly turned off is not good, especially
    an annoying ticking sound.

    Console ticking noise?

    My console does the same thing. When I turn it to power saving mode the whole system shuts down and the ticking noise stops. It's a very weird ticking sound and is def coming from the console.

    I'd just like an official answer to why the console emits this weird ticking sound when in standby?

    Hi Zerutso,

    Thanks for letting us know you were able to get a return. It will get hot in between fan cycles. Also make sure you have the console in a well ventilated area. If you are not getting any overheat warnings I wouldn't worry to much. Here is a link that goes

    over ventilation    . Personally my consoles also get warm to hot. Usually hot when playing AAA rated games.
