xbox one thumbstick broken

Seems my thread on the same issue got deleted from last week, but at least I'm not the only one having this problem.

Left thumb stick as well, getting worse and definitely playing Fifa14.

I raised a support request and have been asked to ship the controller from the uk to the Czech Republic at my own cost. Anyone here had to do the same?

 

@Funkymojo44 Shipping the controller to Prague is your only option for a warranty repair unless you want to return your entire console under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 - a course of action which I might be taking in the near future!

 

I wanted to jump in here and give my experiences as well. I feel it's important to make sure MS is aware of these issues so they can fix them.

I'm on my 3rd controller now since launch. My first controller (launch unit) had a broken right thumb stick. Specifically the "click" down aspect completely broke. I could move around in Ghosts and BF4, but couldn't crouch or go prone (I have mine set to
"tactical/veteran"). Bravo to MS as I did get a warranty replacement within about 3 weeks. However in the meantime I bought a replacement unit on Jan 23 and already it's got problems. The first of which is a "squishy" A button. The most critical, however,
is my left thumb stick has totally worn out and a distinct groove has worn into the actual stick from rubbing on the controller body. It's so bad that it sticks when I push up due to the groove getting hung up on the perimeter of the hole in the body that
the stick comes through. If that makes sense. I've played a ton of Ghosts, BF4, and now the Titanfall beta, but I've had this controller for less than a month! I would wear out 360 controllers, but usually after a year or two.

 

Having something similar to WickerMan above, but is my left stick. While the click isn't totally busted, the click still works, I noticed my left-thumb stick felt like it was recessed into the controller. Sure enough if I pull up on it the stick goes back
to the default resting position it should be in (ie. when new), push down it recesses into the controller and then I hear the click. The distance it moves isn't huge, I would guess 3 or 4 mm, but it's noticeable and I have a feeling I will eventually be in
the same boat.

 

I have had the same problem, Left analog stick sticking and popping out at downwards position, been like it for a while but gotten worse to the point its to annoying to play with. Got in touch with Xbox support and been asked to ship it out to czech republic
for a replacement (at my own cost). Complete joke and the replacement only comes with a 3 month warranty, its clearly a fault with all of them so it will just happen again. Really *** off and starting to wish i never bought an Xbox one

 

Same thing here, I was thinking it was just me being too rough with the controller or something of that sort, but i've played fifa twice as much on the 360 and never had this problem. I hope the fix this problem soon.

 

I'm experiencing the same problem as all of you! I went through 2 xbox 360 controllers n the 4 years I hade the 360, Ive hade the one for 3 months and im on my 6th controller, I just want to come out and say this straight to xbox, if this many people are
having *** problems with 1 dumb *** thumb stick you thing a billion dollar company would learn to fix the dam problem!!!!! this right here is there reason why so many people are switching to PlayStation because this pathetic *** team of Microsoft is blowing
balls, its not that hard to make a *** controller so its obvious the group behind the production are *** ***!!!!

 

What a joke. I have gone through 5 controllers and all the controllers left stick grinds and sticks. So frustrating... How do they put out a product that is so bad. With any minimal trial and testing they would see this as a clear issue. Maybe just a ***
money grab. I am going to try SONY before I go spend any more money on broken products.

 

yep im on my 4th xbox one pad , the left thumbstick keeps messing up an keeps sticking an making a clicking noise when I press down on it these xbox one pads are crap I would love to get my money back and buy a ps4

 

I have a total of TWO games on my Xbox One. Peggle 2 and Killer Instinct, I rarely use the machine and now my controller is busted. Same issue with the left thumbstick.

EDIT - I never managed to break a 360 controller btw.

First some insight, a few weeks back Oculus Rift bought the company who made the 360 controller. Like any Mega Corp, MS has vendors.. Looks like the new Manufacturer is terrible at there job, & MS accepted crap, & is pushing the fix issue onto the consumer
with $18 ship charge. Blah blah Capitalism marches on... Any way...

Class Action Law Suit ....??
