Xbox one thinks I'm a child again

Hi people,

I'm having some problems with my xbox one restricting content. I've had the console for over a year a year now and not had it restrict any content due to the fact that I'm over 18. But for some reason 2 days ago it started requesting my password for apps
like netflix and twitch stating that the apps are rated above my content restrictions. Considering the xbox one console is supposed to update my child account (from when I owned a 360 and I was under 18) automatically to an adult one, I am now 20, and now
it suddenly thinks I'm underage again I'm a little confused as to what's happened.

As well as this, my mums account has been deleted as she was never an active user, just had the account because when I was under 18 you needed an adult account and a child account. This means I no longer have access to the family settings to change anything.
I'd also rather not send any photocopied documents just to get the account changed considering the xbox one knew I was an adult and only freaked out about it the last couple of days.

If anyone can give any advice on what to do that would be awesome!

i have been on the Chat. Apparently there is no parental account and no explanation why I cant accept the agreement. They have transferred my problem to account specialists who will (hopefully) take of this in the next few days.

As I said before, I have had my windows live ID for ages and used on countless of services(in different generations of Microsoft services) with tons of settings, I guess somewhere there is just a false wire somewhere in the endless universe of Microsoft
account management.

I dont think this can be solved in this forum, but thanks for the help, especially Hassassinade!

As much as we'd like to, we are unable to help with issues of password resets/blocked e-mails/changing parental e-mail's. You will need to try to reset
the password, if that does not work, please try to fill out the account recovery form here, or if the account
is blocked please have the parent fill this form out.

If you don't have access to either of these options, you will need to contact the Microsoft Account team here.

The only way to get rid of the parental account control is when an account turns 18+. You can find those instructions here.
These are only available after accepting the updated terms. Changing the settings in your privacy from a Child to an Adult, does not mean that you've promoted yourself from a child to an adult. This option only becomes available
after you turn the age of 18. Since it doesn't seem like you have an Xbox 360, you will need to contact phone support to see if there is another way to promote
your account from a child to an adult.

 

Try this.

Remove your profile from your profile.

Then perform a hard reset. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is
back up and operational reload the profile login to live and test.
