Xbox one thinks i have a wired connection

i have never had a wired connection always wireless and it wont let me do anything because it says i have a wired connection but i dont

Backward Compatibility Issue

I have both xbox 360 and xbox one. I can play any game online on my 360 with a wired or wireless connection. I can play any xbox one game online with a wired or wireless connection. But I can't play a backward compatible game online on my xbox one unless
i have a wireless connection, and i prefer to use wired. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Weird slow (500kb/s) download issue

Actually I have had similar Problems every once in a while, especially with wireless Connections. All devices seem to work just not the xbox one. I usually unplugged the one, the router and then did a wired LAN Connection and it worked. I dont think ist
an xbox error, probably a router Problem/compatibility issue.

Hi Speed killzOx,

Let's try a cold boot of the console by unplugging it for a full 5 minutes then check again if this still happens. If it does not help, then you will want to try a

quick factory reset of the console. During the reset process please be sure to keep your games and apps installed when asked to do so.

My wireless (original with xbox) one kept losing connection got fed up with it so got a cheap wired one that done the same then bought xbox wired controller which I'm having the problem with now. So I have had 3 controllers wired and wireless which have
had the same problem so now thinking it's the xbox itself

It's happening for all Xbox One S users. Whether they notice it or not. Wireless and wired. It'll be a software issue.

I'm having this issue with a wired connection where it drops connection for a split second for no reason glad to know i'm not the only one. I have tried every troubleshooting step you can think of to fix this. Been thinking of exchanging it but someone
said that will do no good. called Microsoft up and told them to read this forum it's not just me. Very frustrating
