Xbox One Temperature - Thermal Paste

The Xbox One console is not meant to be opened or repaired by the user, we can't offer any help with this. If the machine is opened by anyone other than Microsoft, the warranty will be void and no repairs can be made to the console even after the warranty
has expired.

In regards to 'Thermal paste', there isn't a type of paste that can supercool hardware down. Thermal paste sits on the processor with the heatsink on top. It's function is to make sure heat is dissipated out into the heatsink, which is cooled by the system
fan.

Since heatsinks and fans can be clogged up with dust, it's usually this that causes modern consoles to get warmer and louder over time, not the thermal paste.

Make sure your console has room to breath, don't place the machine in an enclosed space.

If your machine has become excessively loud, you'll need to raise a repair order with Microsoft.

Hmmm could be a temperature sensor problem or maybe the thermal paste isn't sealing to the heatsink properly making the cpu/gpu go rapidly up and down in temperature. Either way microsoft would have to repair it, if its out of warranty and your quite good
at taking things apart might be worth opening it up and having a look and maybe give it a bit of a clean out.

if you don't have thermal paste things don't work as efficiently as they should. Your CPU's operating temperature will be higher. It may need to slow itself down (thermal throttling) to stop from overheating and failing. But if you need a repair then I recommend sending it in for repair here. And I don't know how long it would operate properly without it.
