    Xbox one taking forever to shut down


    So I normally put my Xbox on quick startup mode, but I was having some game update issues earlier, so I decided to do a full shut down to see if that helps. So far it's turned the screen black, but the lights on the console and controller are still on. It
    doesn't even seem to be pulsating, or it's just doing it so faintly that I can't tell. I can't get it to do anything, and I'm afraid to try too much. I've had so many issues since I got this console, so trying to fix anything myself scares the crap out of
    me. If anyone can give me some information to ease my nerves or help me troubleshoot, it would be greatly appreciated. It's been like this for about 10 minutes now.

    When Will Xbox One Games Become Playable Offline Just Like Video Games Released For All The Other Main Eighth Generation Consoles (The PS4 And The Wii U)?

    When Xbox One servers shut down forever, we will be on better systems already.

    Update 3

    It was taking forever to DL, like an hour or so and it was only 30%. I shut down after that and still havent DL'd it. Whats in the update, and did it take forever for you? I will mention DL updates usually takes me like a minute or so.

    The first xbox loading screen takes forever( the green one with the xbox one logo)! Be patient and don't shut it down, it'll mess everything up. It lasts so long I thought my xbox froze

    Yes it completely shuts down then powers all the way back to dashboard where it will stay on forever.
