Xbox One systematically breaking down while instant on is active

Im not sure right now if this is due to the last update but at first it was just the controller being unable to turn on the system when it had the "instant on" mode active. it also had the issue of not turning the controller down when the system was put
to sleep. then weeks later came the no sound glitches. I have to hard reset the system to fix it but it will eventually happen again. now the kinect sometimes stops powering on altogether, forcing me to hard reset again. All this seems to happen only when
instant on is enabled, which btw powering on vie "Xbox On" has been incredibly unreliable since I bought the system even while every other command works. Have I got a defective console or is this just OS related issues?

Power settings and unplugging the console

Hi there,

since the Xbox One has two different power settings (instant on and power saving mode), I'd like to know whether is it safe to unplug the console while instant on is active. If not, I want to know which steps I have to follow to safely unplug the Xbox One
from the mains.

Shutting down while instant-on

No there really is no danger it that happening. I leave mine on instant on and have never had an issue. I guess it could cause and issue if it were doing some update and the power failed but again I have never had any issues.

Are you in the Xbox Early Access (update preview) programme? These are all problems associated with those updates while in preview, but shouldn't have been issues when on the public (stable) releases.

I have a problem on my xbox one after the preview update where my internet download speed is slow(less than 2 Mbps) when I run the detailed network statistics and when I run speedtest on my phone and PC I get more than 20 Mbps. I'll lag every time playing
online making me unable to play. Is there a fix? I tried everything from my modem, router has all the ports open, and checked every settings for the xbox

@Jay: That's an entirely different issue and you should be making a new thread for it. However, you may want to try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console)
your console and see if that resolves it. If not, make a new thread. Separate threads for separate issues makes it easier for us to help.
