Xbox One System Update Failing

This morning I turned my Xbox One X console on and there was a 690MB update.

The update downloads fine it would seem but fails the verification at around 40%-60% (retrying the update changes the percentage).

Source OS: 10.0.18266.1008

Target OS: 10.0.18296.1001

Error code: 0x8B05000F 0x00000000 0x9008007

I tried doing an offline system update but that also did not work. I also tried to factory reset the console, but as you start the initialisation process there is an update step which tries to download the same failing update.

I am also an Xbox Insider. Wondering if the latest update is broken?

Thanks for the update on the issue with the failed update. If the issue persists with the failed update, try this: Xbox One System Update Solution
and click on Update My Console Offline.

Give this a try and let us know the results.

Update is rolling out over the next few days guys.give it time and if it still does't show try shutting down the console completely

My Xbox one updates have all worked fine but what about them showing up late? I know the most recent update was released a day or two ago and im just now seeing it show up?

Sorry to hear it. Normally I'd say use the reporting tool to report this but you aren't able to. What you should do is

post this to the Reddit forums to see if they can help

Thanks folks, I decided to do a manual update thru the USB thumb stick and it worked
