Xbox One system issues after Ghosts update

    Hey all,

As you all know the Ghosts DLC has been launched and there was a game update. as the console was installing the update, it crashed. The controller was not responsive, voice commands were not working, and it sat at 5% for 35 minutes. I restarted the console
and then it booted, the update was at 97%, this is where the issues started.

Kinect voice commands no longer work

Will not load System app (stays on the splash screen then returns to home screen/dashboard)

Will not load Activity app (stays on the splash screen then returns to home screen/dashboard)

Will not load Achievements app (stays on the splash screen then returns to home screen/dashboard)

Xbox button does not work when pressed when in a game/app

When in Ghosts it crashes at the store so i cannot access the DLC

Does anyone have any ideas on how to sort it out, hopefully without factory setting the console! (don't want to loose my saves, again)

    :)

1: Push the console power button for 5-10 seconds until I turns off

2: Unplug the power cord from the console - (has to be from the console)

    3: Wait 30 seconds

4: Plug back in and power up console with button

Should hopefully be working okay now. If not let us know Xbox One system issues after Ghosts update :)

@2. wondering why it has to be from the console?

normally, when u have issues support tells you to hold the power "button" for 5-10 seconds but nerver said anything about unplug the power cord ...

Well the main reason for doing this is the power supply can hold onto power for some time. It has capacitors which are great for storing electricity and can keep power, however minute, flowing into the console which in turns keeps the console memory intact.
Unplugging from the console ensures the console cannot receive any stray power from the supply.
