Xbox One sync data issues

So I have recently got back online after months of internet troubles and now every time I load a game it comes up saying syncing data please wait. It finishes this and loads the game but I always end up at the beginning of the game as if I have no saved
data for it. Obviously I do and i am missing many many hours of playing. Please help...

Sync Data Issues

I am having trouble with sync data for forza 5 and Fallout 4 it keeps failing over and over I have tried all trouble shooting steps but nothing works why won't MS do anything about this problem I have been having since December last year.

 

Would this happen to be Fallout 4?

Also, does the sync finish or do you cancel it?

 

And what kind of "Internet troubles" did you have or still have?

 

It isn't Fallout 4, so far it is Just Cause 3 and Forza 6. The internet troubles were just that the speeds we used to get weren't much better than dial up and wouldnt support anything so I just had it in offline mode for months and months maybe a year. I
have recently got better internet so I have connected to xbox live and everything else again. One thing I did have to do to get the dashboard working and to bring up the store etc was to delete and then recover my gamertag. Could this have cause the syncing
problems? Thanks

 

Also I have tried letting the sync finish and cancelling it my self and both brought about the same result/problem

 

i have the same problem from last night .when i start a game it cant sync data.i tried many times and same problem.happens for all my games.

 

I've had it too tonight. It's Friday night 8:49 pm NZ time. When I launched Ori and the Blind forest, and Powerstar Golf, it took much longer than it normally would. Microsoft servers can be real slow at times. Fact. And no it's not our ISP's fault. I'm
with Vodafone NZ, Vodafone is like the biggest or 2nd biggest ISP in the world. And get 100mb/s download and 10mb/s upload speed. Microsoft does run into issues with it's service like service alerts etc. You can check for service alerts on this site too, their
official Xbox site. But they don't always announce service alerts when they need to. For instance Australians may have problems with certain Xbox services which sometimes Microsoft doesn't acknowledge by putting it up as a service alert. But I'm sure they
do their best. 21st century technology ain't perfect.

 

That's one of the differences between Xbox 360 and Xbox 1. With Xbox 1, your "game saves" are saved to Xbox Live servers, not your console like with Xbox 360. There is a save to cloud option with Xbox 360, but the storage space is very limited.

 

OP,

I would try deleting your profile, power cycle the console and then re-downloading it.

As a last resort you can reset to factory defaults but pick the option that does NOT delete games and apps.

Something I read in this FAQ mentioned something about starting a game online in order to save it to the cloud and that no cloud save is created if the game is started in offline mode.

Um If you had it offline mode then surely saves wouldn't have uploaded to the cloud OP?

 

@Smiles as far as I'm aware the One does save locally as well as the Cloud. I suspect the OP's issue is when he deleted his profile he deleted his local saves from the One, and as he had been in offline mode for a year there are no cloud saves to synch.
