Xbox One sync button will not work, can use Xbox adapter?

My xbox one sync button when pressed will make noise when pressed but wont flash indicating it is syncing. I have tried the USB sync with a cable, hard reset, soft power down, and even Factory Reset. None of which worked. Could I use the xbox pv adapter
used to connect a controller to a PC to fix this issue?

Hi!

Unfortunately, you aren't able to use the Xbox to PC wireless adapter to connect Xbox controllers to your Xbox. Have you tried using a wired controller for this?

You sync the controller by pressing the sync button in your controller (the one near the mini usb port) and the sync button in the front of the console (S) or in one side (Original) at the same time.

Also, you're connecting the headset directly to the 3.5 port or using an adapter?, an adapter example would be using a keyboard with a 3.5 port on it

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. If you're laptop has Bluetooth you will be able to sync the controller to it by pressing the sync button at the top of the controller. If there is no Bluetooth you may have to use a USB
cable to connect the controller to the laptop. You can also purchase an Xbox One Wireless Controller Adapter to sync the controller. Hope this helps!

Just did a console reset but it didnt work. Then did a hard reboot again and while the xbox was in the green load screen I was able to sync the controllers. However, the sync button on my xbox is still not responsive. Is there anyway to check if
the button has a loose cable or something?

There is a new Controller firmware update that may assist you with this issue.
