Xbox one switching off during play

This is driving me crazy, if anyone can help that would be good.

Sons xbox keeps switching itself off during play.

Thought it was the xbox as was launch xbox one so upgraded to the X at christmas. However this stays on less time than the original xbox.

Xbox stays on throughout updates, downloads etc

But switches off during game play.

We have numberous xbox ones in the house and when he logs on to another if one has switched off the other xbox will automatically fire off. (Yet my husband can sit and play on it for hours)

Tried change bricks on original xboxes

And also returned the X for a replacement after speaking with microsoft but no resolve.

Tried twittering xbox to see if there is an actual.fault with his user but got issued the standard, xbox is overheating, try a full reset, power cable, etc.

I should mention since the issue started we have moved house, and had electrics checked. Even replaced tv to elimate this.

And went to a wired internet connection to eliminate this, but still does if not connected internet.

Any suggestions other than throwing out a.window and moving to PlayStation?

Sorry to here it my freind and I'm not quite sure what to say as I've never heard of this issue before but I'll list some suggestion never the less

1. Please be sure you are using the proper power cord the voltage and amperage can be messing with you

2. Make sure your outlet is in good condition and not loose or damaged in any way

3. Check all connection and replace the power cord if you think it neccessary

Hello, I am a little confused about your situation but I will try and help you out as best as I can.

From your post I can see that you are on the most recent model of xbox, if your xbox is randomly powering off try taking it apart and cleaning it to the best of you ability.

I dont know what could cause this to your console besides it overheating, or something being faulty with the console itself.

Try contacting Microsoft support via their official phone number or by the support agent page.

Thanks, the console is insured so not taking it apart. Just need to wait out all the covid store closures.

If it was overheating it would actually need to be switched on for more tha a few minutes, its can be unplugged for days and same thing occurs...

Tonight for example, sons on the original console and it switches off, tries the xbox x but same thing occurs (new at xmas and replaced march due to same issue) so we gave him my husbands console to use and this did exactly the same thing .... yet husband
has never had any issues with it. (In the house we have 3 original x1's, an xbox 1s and an x .... occurs across them all for my son, nobody else is affected).

Im wondering if its his actual user ... if this is somehow corrupted. Its a headache, trying ti deal with a moody teenager who just wants to play his xbox.
