Xbox one switches itself off a few seconds after being switched on.

This is my second full day of trying to get support for this problem. I am going crazy.

I bought the console as a christmas present for my son. Christmas has been ruined. It is under guarantee. I need it to be repaired. I have tried every possible way to get hold of somebody from Microsoft so I can return it, nothing has worked. I broguht it
back to the shop (MediMarkt), they said I had to contact Microsoft directly. I finally got hold of somebody on the phone but she refused to help me until I read her back a verification code from an email which I never received. I asked her to confirm which
email address she sent it to but she refused. I asked if I could speak to her manager or the complaints dept, she refused. I am completely stuck and very frustrated.

Xbox one console keeps shutting off

I too have just had a faulty xbox that magicly keeps turning itself off. Worked great for a few hours of gameplay out of the box, but now the problem has become so bad it turns off after a few seconds of being switched on.

I have noticed that the PSU seems pretty cheap and nasty compared to the 360 one, the IEC lead doesn't even fit that snug.

My (almost) new Xbox 360 slim recently developed an issue: it switches off right after I switch it on.

The issue developed after an hour of Skyrim with the console in a well ventilated space. It just switched off. I tried switching it off but it went right off in a second. The power brick showed an orange light after the crash. I left it unplugged for a few
hours and tried again. The console ran fine for around 2 minutes (long enough to boot, login and idle at the home screen for a few seconds). After that, it would switch off right after being turned on. I'm not using a surge protector so that's not the issue.
I tried different sockets too. I don't have another Xbox to test the power brick on. Similarly, I don't have another power brick to test my Xbox on.

TLDR version: My Xbox switches off right after I switch it on (unless I leave it for a few hours, in which case it remains on for 5 minutes and then keeps switching off in a few seconds). The power brick shows orange after switching off. I'm not using a
surge protector.

Details: Xbox 360 Slim Corona; purchased in December from Amazon (2012 holiday bundle); ran fine with no issues up until now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Live Chat or Phone team as well as through the online service center
