Xbox One support for exe files

Hello

Today I found out that it is possible to download exe files to an Xbox One but there is no support for exe files whatsoever. I wanted to ask why this is because if this was a possibility people could do so much more
with their consoles. Just to be clear though, the file that I downloaded was from a verified website and is in no way harmful to my console or xbox live services, well I can't run the file anyway so there is no way any harm could possibly come from downloading
this file. Going back to what I was saying, personally I believe that a company as well known as Microsoft should support exe files on their console so people can run and use them. Can somebody please explain why this would be an issue? Does id@xbox have
something to do with it?

Xbox User Voice Forums so that the proper teams are aware.

The Xbox One does not support .exe files. .exe files are only supported on Windows.

For one the files are encrypted as it's a anti cheat measure

Only games that support. moding support editing

Messing with the xbox container files is not a good thing

Remember all of them are part of your registery

And they aren't exes you can touch

Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand you have question on downloading exe files. Unfortunately, this is not possible on the Xbox console. The running of .exe files is not supported on the Xbox console. As there is no other answer for this thread,

This is to do with realtek .exe file crashes both game beta and windows and corrupts files. Where do I mention the Microsoft store. I also state that technical support are the ones who explained what the .exe is and that they know it causes this issue.
This is a fix that's working where it wasnt before.
