    Xbox One suddenly won't turn on.


    I received an Xbox One as a gift from a brother last year, it was a hand me down from him, but it worked perfectly. Nothing was wrong with it and I had no complaints.

    Recently, I had unhooked it and moved it somewhere for a little bit. It worked fine before then, and I had unhooked it and moved it before so I thought it would be fine. When I decided to hook it back up and try to play it, the system would not turn on.
    It would make the little 'doo-doo-doot' noise as if it was trying to come on, but it never did.

    I've unhooked the system and power source to allow them to reset multiple times, but still nothing. Is it the power brick, and should I get a new one? Or is it something else?

    Xbox One won't turn on?

    I returned home from college about a week ago and tried to turn on my Xbox One, and it failed to start. I did some research, and was lead to believe that it was an issue with the power supply - I would turn the Xbox on, the button would light up, and the
    console would play the "On" sound. However, instead of a solid white, the light on the power brick would blink orange and white. This would be also accompanied with some intermittent humming/buzzing from the power brick. This would happen for a few seconds
    before stopping completely.

    I tried "hard resetting" by holding the power button for 10 seconds, and I also replaced the power supply entirely, none of which helped.

    The last time it worked for me was shortly after Thanksgiving - I updated the console and actually left to go back to school before it finished - maybe it shut down mid-update? Or the update itself caused this problem?

    But yeah, my main question is, having already replaced the power supply, is this definitely a hardware issue or did I miss something? And if it IS bricked, what can I do? I tried registering the console on the Xbox website - that didn't work, and any warranty
    is probably expired by now anyways.

    I've had the exact same issue... Whilst using the Xbox the console suddenly shut off and won't turn back on... There is also no LED on the power supply even after unplugging it and plugging it back in :/

    Sorry to hear you have been having these issues with the Xbox One S turning off suddenly after turning it on.

    I would advise going through the troubleshooting provided in the support article that follows to try and get this issue resolved.

    Your Xbox One X, Xbox One S, or original Xbox One console won't turn on

    If the issue persists after all troubleshooting has been attempted, then unfortunately you will need to have the console serviced.
