Xbox One Stuttering with high latency over 150+

Hello,

Is this latency happening with any other games on your Xbox? I found a forum thread with EA about this issue here: Apex Legends lag/stutter issue on Xbox one - Answer HQ. If it is not occurring with any other online game, it may be an issue specific to Apex Legends. It seems some have found a solution there. Please let me know if this is a persistent issue across all your games on your console or if it is just with Apex Legends.

That latency figure is wrong. I am with Virgin broadband too, at the same speed as you also. My latency has always been 150-160ms when testing the Xbox One, but that is because it is pinging from a US server. It doesn't test locally. This has been discussed
elsewhere, and is the same for everyone. It does not mean that you are gaming with a high latency.

Try testing your ping and speed on speedtest.net using a PC. My ping on there is between 0 and 3ms as it pings locally. If you have Titanfall take a look at the server it connects you to as it tells you the ping latency . It's usually around 30ms.

Have you tested the latency with another speed test option through the Microsoft Edge web browser on the Xbox that was mentioned above by DrifterX22?

You can try searching "speed test" on Bing or Google and you will get results. Try that out if you haven't on all 3 console's and see if the original Xbox One is still displaying over 160 ms on latency.

Do you happen to experience lag or stuttering when playing online games on the Original Xbox One compared to playing the same games on the Xbox One S?

I mostly play halo infinate and the latency on that too reaches 150 ms.

The sole reason I have been trying to reduce the latency on xbox for a month is the unplayable level of latency on halo infinate.

"Certified" latency, that is, what is needed to run a game correctly via XBOX, by their own words, is supposed to be at 150 milliseconds or lower.
