    Xbox one stuck on update


    I have an Xbox one console. It was working fine until a recent update that started right after I turned it on. The update runs through 2 out of the three phases and then hangs on the verification phase. After a while I get an error message( I've attached the image). I've tried everything: reboot, offline update using USB, resetting to factory defaults. They all run to that same spot and end there with the error. I tried reaching out to tech support but guess what: my system is out of warranty and discontinued. So no help there. Has anyone experienced this? How do I resolve this? I certainly don't want to have to pay out of pocket for this. I could have used the money to get a new one over black Friday.

    None of my USBs are fortmatted to NTFS and im not deleting everything from them because of Xbox’s mistake
    You can format it to NTFS in windows or even Mac computers now. It shows you how in that tutorial for Windows. Please put the data on your computer while you format it and after this format it back after this, to the default, (probably FAT32) and you're
    ready to go.

    The factory reset keeping games and apps only erases some settings and your profile, you can redownload the profile and your games, apps, and saves are not removed with this.

    This is the only solution to your problem.

    so is it safe to turn it OFF even if it says not to turn it off? this is STUCK at 87 percent (on step 3 "applying update"so what are my options here
