Xbox One Stuck on Black Screen

    Xbox One Stuck on Black Screen


    I have a problem with my xbox, yesterday i was playing Assassins's Creed, and then i watched Youtube, i fell asleep while watching, and i woke up later on the morning, I tried to open my Xbox, it launched the Startup animation, logged me in, and that its, no dashboard appear, only a black screen, i did this 3 Times:

    Power cycle your Xbox One console.

    • Try a different HDMI cable
    • Try a different HDMI port in your TV
    • Try steps within our blank TV screen troubleshooter(except this because the link is unavailible)
    • Refresh your display settings.
      • If there’s a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.
      • On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.
      • Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.
    and it still don't work, do i have to bring it somewhere to repair it or is there a true working solution for that?

    Mine was stuck on green screen for over an hour. Talked to xbox support. They had me reboot it a few times. Now I'm stuck with a black screen. I called amazon.com and they are overnighting me a new one.

    What do you mean it opens at your home screen and then nothing? Are you stuck on the dashboard or is it a black or green screen?

    If you are stuck on a black or green screen you can try the offline diagnostic tool that has helped people get passed the blank screen before:

    Update: Screen went black, I think Xbox auto shut off. When I turned it back on It looks as though it was starting up normally but now it's stuck on the Xbox One start up screen.
