  1. XBox One - Strict NAT & High Packet Loss

I've reached my boiling point & I'm at a loss on what to do.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? Virginia

Modem brand & model number: Comtrend CT-5072T

    Router brand & model number: Belkin N600DB F9K1102 v3 (01A)

    Wired or wireless: Wired

Things you have tried: I've forwarded the following ports to the IP of my system: 88, 3074, 53, 80, 500, 3544, 4500, 16000, 1863 (found these after doing a search). I've enabled the Virtual DMZ Host in my router settings to the IP of
my system. I have enabled UpNp in my modem settings. I've also added the IP of my system to the DMZ Host settings in my modem.

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Yes, on my modem. I do not see any option in my router settings.

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? Strict

Any Error Codes you encounter: High Packet Loss

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): Shentel DSL (please don't laugh)

    :)

    High packet loss

I recently moved and got a new isp. Played online fine for a week and now suddenly I have high packet loss and I noticed my nat is strict. I made my xbox one ip static and put it in dmz on my router and still no luck. Help!

  3. Unable to connect to xbox live

So I'm having trouble connecting to xbox live. My NAT type is strict and I have a high packet loss; do any of those have anything to do with me not being able to connect to xbox live. If so, what can I do to fix this problem?

From a case similar to yours I may try to give you some advice:

I think you may have an issue with the teredo tunneling. Please do a multiplayer connection test to confirm this.

If so you need an other router than the Belkin one because afaik the Belkin stuff seems to work with a teredo filter which cannot be disabled.

  5. What exactly am I looking for when I do the MP test? All it tells me is that I have a high packet loss. I'm not sure why this is happening all of a sudden bc ever since March when I hardwired my system, I've had almost zero problems playing online. Titanfall,
BF4, UFC, etc. Up until about 2 weeks ago it all went to ***. Nothing changed. At least nothing I'm aware of. I know my brother in law messed with the router settings at some point. I'm thinking maybe a factory reset would help?

A factory reset sounds like a good idea if someone messed up the router settings and everything was fine before that.

The multiplayer test I was directing you to can give you error messages like problems with the teredo tunneling. It can be found above the detailed network test and gives you some other information. If you do this test there is another test you can do, which
I would recommend to do to get some more detailled information besides the packet loss. In the result screen of the multiplayer connection test press LT, LB, RT and RB simultaneously and wait for the result. Check for the status code and the detailed NAT information
    please.

But for now I would suggest to start with a router factory reset.

  7. Detailed NAT info says: Your network is behind a port-preserving port-symmetric NAT.

Have you done the router factory reset already before that?

That message indicates at least no problems with the teredo tunneling.

  9. I have not. I'm going to wait until later tonight, or early tomorrow as I don't wanna disrupt anything with other people in the house at the moment. Right now, I'm just looking around online for other settings & what to turn on/turn off to see if maybe
I'll have any luck. See a lot of stuff about doing port forwarding, but turning off UpNp. Turn on DMZ, or not. I dunno. I'll touch back after I've done the reset.

    Ok.

And as information: setting up the One in a DMZ is always a good idea and having UPnp activated, too XBox One - Strict NAT & High Packet Loss ;)

Oh, and one question: what's your mtu? You will find that in the detailed network information, too.
