Xbox One streaming stuck on low quality

When gamin on Win 10 my streaming quality is always stuck on low. As if its using my bandwidth but i just want to stream using my local network. How do I tell my console/computer to use my network instead of my internet. Its irritating.

Watch Hulu in Low Quality on Xbox 360?

I keep hitting my ISP's monthly data limit and need to lower the quality of streaming on hulu. I've changed it on Hulu.com, and the quality remains low on my laptop, but it did not lower the quality on my Xbox. I have found no way to lower in the App or
on Hulu's website. Any ideas?

Streaming problems

Hello there!

We understand that there seems to be an issue with the quality of streaming, and being able to begin said streams.

Attempt to follow our I am experiencing low streaming quality on my Xbox One article, as it touches base around
the necessary settings for the network portion of getting streaming started.

Try this out for us and let us know how this goes.

Streaming from the one to your Windows 10 PC does use your home network and not the internet. Are you running both devices as wire (recommended)? If you are connected using wireless the distance from the router can very negatively impact the performance.

Does your PC meet the following specifications?

At least 2 gigabytes of RAM

1.5 GHz CPU or faster

Network connection to your home network:

Best performance: Wired Ethernet connection

Good performance: Wireless – 5 GHz 802.11 N or 802.11 AC wireless access point

Limited performance: Wireless – 2.4 GHz 802.11 N or 802.11 AC wireless access point

Yes Both are wired. It stays stuck at like 3mbps on qverage. Its driving me crazy

I did this test several times, I can stream in Very High quality, but when I stream, even the Low quality is buggy...

I can try to change some settings of my router, but which ones?

Lots of connection problems since update , and mostly on modem router combos like you have , you did say you did the port forwarding AND had UPNP enabled , you cant do both , you may be confusing the router ...you could also try and put that router in "bridge
mode" which should make it just a modem , then plug only the xbox straight into it and see if it acts any different....as far as routers , imo , Netgear is the most xbox friendly , but get one that is geared towards gaming and supports "multiple consoles"
(even if you have only one console , if it supports more , you'll know its a gaming router) also get a modem ONLY and a router ONLY ...no combos or "gateways"
