  1. Xbox One Streaming from Xbox App to Console

I have a few questions that I couldn't find answers to in the documentation. I have an xbox one S. I have a Windows 10 PC with the xbox app and I've already added the console to my PC in the xbox app. For the "xbox app connectivity" preferences on the console
itself, it is set to "allow connections from any device" and to "allow play to streaming" and "allow game streaming to other devices".

I have two wifi networks. My phone is my primary internet connection via wifi tether. I also have an offline LAN wifi network that I use for file transfers. My thoughts are if I can use my LAN wifi network to do streaming. The signal is better and more reliable.

The xbox app on my PC doesn't seem to launch without an internet connection. Also, when I do manage to connect, I'm prompted to sign in on the console itself with my profile FIRST before establishing the stream.

    My questions....

    1) Is it possible to stream to the console with an offline wifi network? I.e., a wifi network without an internet connection? The documentation merely states to use a "home" network. I'm not really sure what that means--an offline network via LAN or if streaming
    requires an internet connection.

    2) Is it possible to stream without first having to signin on the console with my profile? Can't I do that after I open the stream? It seems kind of pointless to have a streaming feature when I have to be standing in front of the console to enable the stream
each time in the first place.

Note: I am aware that I will not be able to play online games if I use a LAN wifi network with no internet access. Most of the games I play are offline anyway so it's a cost I'm willing to embrace.

    Thanks.

    :)

'Turn On' Xbox One Not Working But SmartGlass Does

I am unable to turn on my Xbox One from the Windows 10 Xbox app, receiving the following error message "We are unable to turn on your console. Make sure this device is on the same network as your console and your console is set to instant-on".
However, if the Xbox One is already on, I can connect and utilize game streaming from Windows 10. On the same network, I can successfully turn on the Xbox One from the SmartGlass app on my iPhone and then connect to the Xbox One for game streaming from Windows
    10. Any ideas for how to get the Xbox One to turn on directly from Windows 10 without having to use the SmartGlass app?

  4. Xbox One Streaming from Xbox App to Console

    Hi there!

There is a way... but its more of an unconventional way to do so. The sign in requirement is there for security purposes after all.

How ever, with your situation there is no harm in doing so.

I have done streaming with your situation using the Xbox Dev Mode Companion (preview) app on Windows 10.

You can find the app Here.

You can stream without first signing in, meaning your can just turn your Xbox on with the app and you don't need to do anything else to start streaming.

I believe this will work with no internet connection too, because the app can launch offline and again... you don't need to sign in.

    Hope this helps!

    Streaming

We can't know what the upcoming Xbox Series X features for streaming are just now.

Microsoft had their own streaming service called "Mixer", that they shut down just yesterday on July 22nd. And for that service, they had streaming built right into the Xbox One console. You'd just set up your stream from the console guide, and could stream
    to Mixer.

Twitch has made a separate app that you could install on your Xbox One, and set up streaming to Twitch from the console.

Unfortunately for YouTube, there was no app or built in support, as YouTube/Google hasn't provided such an app on Xbox.

If you really want/have to stream your Xbox gameplay to YouTube, the currently only known way is to have a PC with HDMI capturing hardware and a streaming software like OBS or XSplit to stream that video capture from the PC to YouTube.

i can't game stream on xbox series x/s

    Hi Alfrddd

Streaming on the console companion on PC is not supported on the Xbox series consoles. Only Xbox One.

The only platform that you can currently stream from is iOS and Android, using the Xbox app.

    Hope that helps.

Im trying to cast my xbox one to my lenovo laptop using hdmi but i cant find it where do i see my connections

Hello Assassin the hdmi on your laptop is an output therefore you can't connect connect using hdmi. However you can connect wirelessly and stream your xbox one to your Lenovo laptop to do that follow these steps:

Enable settings on your Xbox One

Under This Xbox, select Allow game streaming to other devices.

Under Other devices, select Allow connections from any device or Only from profiles signed in on this Xbox.

Connect your Windows 10 PC to your Xbox One

After ensuring that your console settings are correct, you need to establish a connection from your Windows 10 PC to your Xbox One console from within the Xbox Console Companion app on your PC:

Select Connection from the panel on the left side.

The Xbox Console Companion app will scan your home network for available Xbox One consoles. Select the name of the console you want to connect to.

The ‘Connect to Your Xbox One’ window is shown with the name of the console that’s connected.

Note All Xbox One consoles are pre-named "MyXboxOne." If you have multiple consoles, you should rename each one so that you can correctly identify the console you're trying to connect to. You can rename your console by pressing the Xbox button to open the
guide, selecting System > Console info > Console info, and then selecting the name of your console in the Name box.

Once you have connected, you'll see the icons change to indicate you are connected, and you'll see new options for streaming, power, and media remotes. You'll also now have control of the console remotely.

The ‘Connect to Your Xbox One’ window is shown with the console’s current screen displayed.

How to launch game streaming from the Connection panel

To begin streaming, click Stream once the console is connected.

Hope it helps let us know
