Xbox One Streaming App - Constant Crashes

hello.. i would also like to report i am having the same issues

my setup

PLUSNET ONE ROUTER

1x 1 Gigabit CAT6 from pc to router

1x 1 Gigabit CAT6 from Xbox one to router

confirmed both are connected at 1Gigabit (by accessing router settings page and checking network map and it clearly states 1 Gigabit)

router also does 2.4ghz and 5ghz

Windows 10 64Bit Version 1607 (OS BUILD 14393.82)

i7 4.2Ghz Intel

16gig DDR3 1666mhz

128gjg solid state kingston

no matter if im hardwired / wireless the stream just drops or lags.... (i used to get network problems but now i dont it just closes)

i have reinstalled windows 10 / reset console (by going to settings > system > console info and updates > reset console / i am also a preview member and have all xbox one updates

same issue.. drops when it feels like it or the screen is messed up (even if i put it on low / medium / high and very high) / when i test stream i get ticks all over the place... but still not able to maintain a stream

previous updates i have managed to get 10+hr sessions streaming.. because of the current issues i have stopped using the xbox app (other than to jump in to party chat with friends whist im away from pc)

oh i have also tried this on a surface pro 4 128gb on windows 10 with all updates

same issue

so its not a hardware issue.. it must be software based.. any feed back or tips or anything appreciated

I hope it gets fixed soon. I miss streaming my xbox one to my pc while i stream netflix on my 360

 

I downloaded the beta app and tried it and still the same disconnects so used the bug feature as suggested in the post earlier.

 

Everything was streaming nicely on Very High. Now I can’t stream or it disconnects in a matter of seconds. Hope the below information helps.

Xbox app updated from 19.19.28029.00000 to 19.20.24006.0. Played for about 30 mins and then it disconnected. After that I cannot play anymore...

 

Anyone on the latest preview able to test to see if issue has been resolved?

 

I have found that this issue is caused by windows firewall settings, your antivirus software, VPN services, and updates to the xbox app. When you fix the problem and the app updates it creates the problem all over again. If people need a tutorial on how
to change the settings so it is allowed please let me know, I would be more than happy to either write a guide or make a youtube video to help.

 

It would be nice if you let us know what the settings should be.

Tested current version 19.21.7006.00000, worked for about an hour. Then it disconnected once and never held the connection for a minute. Anyone else?

 

I am surprised people are just now bringing this up. I have had this issue for a bit. I have tried everything. Very rarely it will work. Last night I played GTA on my Google Cardboard VR headset, streaming from the XB1 (XB1 stream to PC to VR via USB).
It was so fun. It has not worked once today. Cannot stream for 20 seconds now.

 

Weirdly enough, after I turned off the real time protection of Windows Defender, I was able to play two full FIFA 17 DEMO matches without any disconnects.

I also set high priority for XboxApp.exe process in task manager to make sure it got most of resources.

I'll now try enabling the real time protection and adding XboxApp.exe to the exclusion list.

This all happened on the latest preview version of Xbox One; Xbox App beta: 19.21.9014.00000

P.S. before I disabled the protection I got disconnects, so this should have something to do with the antivirus.

Icon13, Are you using the cardboard VR with your phone? You're experiencing lag transferring data from the Xbox to the Computer to the phone? That sounds most definitely like connection issue.
