Xbox One Streaming App - Constant Crashes

The streaming feature has been working perfectly in the app for the past few months however suddenly in the past week or so every time I try to stream, I get a message after about 30 seconds "lost connection to console"... I run the streaming test and have
all green checks. I have contacted Microsoft support as well as my ISP and had my NAT changed to open but to no avail. I have rebooted my console, router, updated my laptop and everything in between with no luck. I am positive the issue lies with the app and
am hoping that someone has a fix for this and there will be an official patch soon.

Questions about using the Twitch App on the Xbox One

Actually with the Xbox One Twitch app viewers can't see you navigate the dashboard, it pauses the stream when you back out of the game and they also cannot see your messages, notifications or snapped apps. If the game happens to crash, it completely stops
the stream as it seems to be directly tied to the game you're streaming and not the console itself.

I've had a lot of personal experience with the Xbox One Twitch app which is complete trash. I now use a capture card to my PC and run OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) which shows all activity on the console, like dashboard navigation and messages. Also if
the game crashes the stream continues to run.

You can also set constant keyframe intervals, bitrate and resolutions which again the Xbox One Twitch app can't do. Well I mean there are settings for a few of those things, but when you check the Twitch dashboard the app really doesn't do its job.

 

Youtube keeps crashing back to dashboard after 45 minutes or so Xbox One X

Since I've had my Xbox One X, anytime I'm trying to watch something streaming or a longer video, after about 45 minutes or so the video will freeze up and the app will crash back to the dashboard. It doesn't do this with HULU, HBO Go or any other app, just
Youtube. Something in the app settings I might need to change?

 

Same here, worked fine last time. Now it quits streaming again and again.

 

I am having the same problem. I get streaming to work for a couple minutes and then it quits. I am running Windows 10 on an iMac with boot camp.

Thank heaven for this thread. It's been driving me crazy for about a week now! I almost bought a ps4 caus I was so annoyed! It only appears to be an issue if my xbox is on the wired network. Run it through the wireless connection and it works a lot better.

 

I believe I have found the cause to this. It started for me over the weekend. Glad to know it isn't just me! So I noticed a common occurrence every time, for me at least. Party Chat. I was streaming just fine on Sat, then someone SENT me an invite. I didn't
accept it, the just sent it and the app immediately crashed and wouldn't hold up a stream anymore. The work around right now is go to your network settings and clear your mac address, then click "Restart".

Then today the same thing happened... I was streaming just fine, but the second someone sent me a party chat invite, BAM, no more stream.

 

Also, it is not just the beta version of the XBOX app, but the normal version as well

 

The party invite crash has been corrected with a service change. Do please let us know if you continue to have problems streaming, and if so, please tell us your Windows version (Windows+R, then type "winver").

I am still experiencing constant disconnects while streaming. I am not in a party, nor have I been invited to a party when encountering this issue.

As others have said, I have streamed without problem in the past, and this issue just arose in the last week or two.

 

Same here. No party, no invitations. Clear MAC doesn't help. Stable connection, it worked in the past but now I have to play xbox in my house instead of sitting in my garden (fantastic weather here). Kinda frustrating because I bet it will be fixed when
it's cold again...

Xbox app version: 19.19.28029.00000

Xbox beta app version: 19.19.29007.00000

Windows version 1607 (build 14393.51) [Redstone didn't change anything about streaming]

Xbox is connected through ethernet. Tested on 2 notebooks with ethernet, WiFi 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz.

Rebootet everything, sometimes I can play for about 15 mins and then it disconnects again (and then it disconnects every 10 to 30 sec.).

A reliable solution would be great

As posted above we are, aware that some users are experiencing troubles with streaming. Rest assured, the development team is investigating this thoroughly.In the meantime, a hard reset (hold the power button down for at least 5 seconds) and turning the
Xbox back on should allow you to stream to the Xbox app again.

If everyone hasn't done so, please download the Xbox Beta app to get onto the latest release. The beta app introduces an important feature: report a problem. If you experience an issue with the app, you'd be able to report the problem to us directly from
the app (note: the report a problem button is under the smiley face tab on the left side menu).
