    Xbox One , Store purchasing with no credit card


    My Xbox live account is not linked with any credit card and i want to redeem some gift cards to buy a game will that be enough to get me pass the credit card or i still need it to process the purchase ?

    No. You can only purchase gold with a credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid card in a store.

    Seeing this issue when purchasing Mass Effect (Xbox store for Xbox one). No issue when purchasing Sniper Elite 3.

    Same credit card and session.

    Please advise.

    You should be able to make the purchase with the currency in your account. However, please be sure that you have enough in currency to cover the cost plus tax or the system will ask for an alternate payment method for the purchase.

    iv been trying to buy a game for around 10 days now,sometimes it says iv reached my limit in the xbox store today+other times it just keeps asking me for my billing info...i havent actualy bought any games so cant of reached my limit...help please

    Also, when you say 'credit card' if it's one of those bought in a store prepaid credit cards it may not work for online purchases. Those are just gift cards to most online purchasing.

    Support will check on the credits for you, but FYI, you gold can only be purchased via credit card/Paypal or by purchasing a prepaid gold card in a store. The currency system (money from rewards credits or Xbox gift cards), cannot be used to purchase gold.

    You can't use your Microsoft credit to purchase live. You either need to have a credit card on file or purchase an xbox live card from a retail store.

    I think Microsoft makes this super confusing, as I've seen the question asked a few times.

    Basically, Microsoft Store cards and Xbox Store cards are one in the same thing. Purchasing either just puts the credit on your Microsoft account that can be used to purchase anything linked to your Microsoft account. Films, games, merchandise, hardware
    etc.

    I've purchased films using left over credit from a game purchase (xbox gift card) just today!

    Depends on what you are trying to purchase. With credit under your account you can purchase xbox one x games, movies or songs

    but if with xbox live 75€ i want buy xbox one x console?
    Xbox live is an online subscription service.

    If you are trying to purchase a console I suggest you use either a Xbox or Microsoft store gift card or a credit card.

    Not an Xbox live card.
