Xbox One stopped connecting to wireless

I've had the device on the same WIFI since December 2023, had no issues until now. It has suddenly stopped connecting to the wireless it seems to stop at 'checking connection'. I have tried a full power cycle reset and resetting the MAC address. The network in question is an open access network using an online portal to connect using separate ID's so requires the MAC address of any device without access to log in like usual (on smartphones, laptop etc) this has been on there the whole time and i have tried resetting it on that end as well.

Is your console connecting to other Wi-Fi networks?

Please, try changing the Port Selection on the connection settings, from automatic to manual.

Go to Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings> Alternate Port Selection > Manual > Choose any from the Menu starting with a 4 or 5 (Example: 49215 or 57165).

If it still does not work, you can try a system factory reset.

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

When you say "remote" "...stop sync", I think you are referring to the Xbox One controller...? If so, may I suggest following up with "Xbox One
Wireless Controller disconnects or can't connect". Let us know if this helps.

Yes i know, i normally used wireless but it stopped allowing me to connect to any wireless connection so had to buy an ethernet cable so i could still use my xbox
