    Any idea as to why there isn't a way to track your xbox like you can an iphone? mine just got stolen and the police are doing nothing to help me find it

    My Xbox One has been stolen. I have filed a police report and I was wondering if there is any information besides the serial number. my question is: is there a way for Microsoft to lock the stolen system out so it cant be used and possibly track the IP?

    My xbox one was stolen please help me locate it.

    You'll need to file a police report and have the police contact Microsoft. As far as I know, there is some tracking that can be done, but Microsoft would need the request to come from the police in order to take any action.

    Seems to be a rash of that the last few days. I have seen at least 3 posts in the last couple of days on this same issue. I guess it is the season for it. Good Luck!

    I already told the police what they have to do and they haven't followed through with any of it. I know for a fact somebody is playing my games on my Xbox right now. And the police can't even call to see if my ip has pinged

    Not sure why your IP would be pinged. If the XBOX is being used on a different network then it would have a completely different address. Am I missing something?

    My Xbox one was stolen a couple of months ago. I have a reference number from Microsoft I have gave to the county sheriff department and I cannot get them to contact Microsoft they say they cannot without a search warrant. I this true.

    Seems to me that would be a question for the police. They should know if they need a warrant or not. Maybe someone here has some insight from previous experience.

    There should be something that I can do to find it. It's strange there isn't a way for them to track the Xbox.

    I feel like I've lost an appendage since my 250gig slim black xbox360 was stolen over a week ago.

    I am sorry that your Xbox got stolen, next time when you get a new one or hopefully the one that was stolen back maybe cover it up with a jumper or a blanket just to keep it hidden and away out of sight.
