Xbox One STILL won't accept correct WiFi password.

My Xbox One won't connect to my WiFi. It tells me the password is incorrect, but I am absolutely certain it is not. All of my other devices work. I have tried, nonetheless, to reset my router. Among other things. But to no avail. I have also tried a plethora
of other options I have come across while searching for answers in other forums. I've tried the hard reset. I've tried clearing the MAC address. I've tried unplugging both the xbox for 30 seconds and the router for 30 seconds. Someone suggested clearing persisting
data from the Blu-Ray player. I've tried toggling "Go Offline." Nothing works. It has been over a week now and I am losing my mind. Does ANYBODY out there know what I can do that I haven't tried?

Hey there Gileryn!

I could totally see how not being able to connect to your network could be frustrating.

If the steps you tried initially didn't work, then I would highly recommend seeing if changing your wifi password (as suggested by @EggsBoxJuan)does or perhaps connecting the console directly to the modem with a hard wire.

When you get a chance, give those things a try and let us know if that helped.

Hi there,

I'm not sure it applies to WiFi passwords, but for account passwords the password may not be longer then 16 (or 12?) characters.

If your wifi password is longer then please try a shorter version to see if that helps.

there was a space at the end of my password, and changing it to not include the space finally solved it

Lol, I was wrong! However it doesn't change, with type AES I have always had problems, in PSK everything works normally

Do you have any special characters in your WiFi password? Like Umlauts (ÄÖÜ), or letters with accents (áèí) or the likes (ñç)?
