XBOX ONE still can be better despite the updates!

We are still missing features and ease of use that we had with 360. Where is the ability to send or receive voice messages? Why is the DLNA Support so difficult to use now? Why do we have to search so hard to find the redeem code feature. The biggest issue
is your assuming everyone will use Kinect to access everything and we do not. The majority of gamers on X1 do not want to use Kinect to do everything cause it itself does not work a lot of the time. Regardless we should have a choice to use it or not! Some
suggestions I want to make that I believe will make things so much better for all of us is to give a Xbox quick guide that's smaller than home screen similar to 360! Give us all the features that's on that guide back just like 360 had. You could implement
the quick guide by simply pressing our guide buttons twice quickly to bring it up. Or swap it out with home screen. In other words have us hit the guide button once for our quick guide and hit the guide button twice quickly to bring the home screen up. Also
something I really like that the PS4 does is it has text bubbles when your chatting with someone. So you can see the entire conversation. X1 should offer support for that as well! PLEASE READ THIS AND TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION! Doing this will make everything
happy with the X1 UI JUST LIKE 360!

Minecraft Xbox one problem.

Hi! I’ve been playing Minecraft Xbox One Edition (disc) since November, and have bought DLC but the Better Together update is still not free, despite the game often stating that it should be when I load up. As soon as I proceed to the store the only option
is to pay? Is there anything I can do?

roughly the search code option is in the games panel in the third column, find it once and pin it, what is hard about that? Although saying xbox use a code is much easier, why not try it?

 

easy turn kinect on for 1 min than redeem code than turn kinect off 2 mins tops lol

am happy with the UI now took a while but liking it

 

The ui is garbage for use with the controller. I don't know why some of you find it so hard to believe that many of us just don't want to use kinect, we don't want to turn it on for 1 minute for anything. We would just like a nice simple controller friendly
dash.......just like the 360 had.

QFT... but wait, that would mean you'd have to push the guide button once to go to your home screen AND SCROLL ONE SCREEN to the left to get to your pins screen,
then select the redeem code... wait, how dare you simplify the process!? >.<



Not to mention the 'double tapping' of the guide button is already being used... in game, you double tap the guide button to snap the party. You can also tap the guide
button once, wait until you go to the home screen and then tap again to see the battery indicator. The whole concept of "You could implement the quick guide by simply pressing our guide buttons twice quickly to bring

possible.

It's kind of funny... it seems like the people who complain most about their XboxOne experience seem to be the ones who simply won't use Kinect. Even funnier yet, most of them say they're 'the majority of gamers' and
yet none have followed through with solid proof of this statement? Where is proof that the majority of gamers 'do not want to use Kinect'?

I say that being one of those who hated the first Kinect and felt I wasted my $ on it as I rarely ever used it. I use the new Kinect all the time, so I find it nearly impossible to believe that the as of yet unproven 'majority
of gamers' don't want to use it.

 

The UI is designed for Kinect. If you bought Xbox One with the intent to not use Kinect, that's your problem. I'm sorry if that sounds cold, but that is the truth. Kinect haters can shout, whinge, demand, rage, petition, boycott, and curse all they want,
but the devs want you to use the Kinect, hence why it's in the box. That is the reality.

 

I actually tried hard to use Kinect when i got the X1, I gave it about 3-4 weeks until I got that fed up that I finally turned it off. I can see why some people like it, but to me it just turned out to be nothing more than a gimmick. I have seen people say
"pin it to the home screen" so many times, my pins just look a jumbled mess after pinning a ton of things there. Hopefully ms will eventually find a happy medium and make it perfect for both kinect and controller use's.

The proof of the the "Majority of gamers" not wanting to use it is simpley the fact that Xbox is bleeding out long time customers the proof is in the sales figures and those customers willing to leave there GS and friends list and start over on the other
console.

The developers don't want you to use Kinect Microsoft does so they can data mine you and sell your info to third party's.

If it was the developers who wanted it you would be playing lots of good Kinect games and your not.

 

The pins basically just arrange themselves. I wouldn't mind being able to move them around, but it's not a big deal.
