Xbox One Stero Headset Adaptor Can Brick Your Accessories

Alright, so about 7 years ago, I decided to get a pair of Turtle Beach DX12's. I absolutely loved them. I played with them on 360 and when I got my Xbox One, I instantly got the adaptor. That same pair of Headphones lasted me until about 2 months ago when
they finally went out. They lasted almost 7 years and even survived a flood. I haven't had a problem with them until they Final you died.

So ever since I get my adaptor (about 3-4 years ago) every 3 months, my adaptor would start crackling and finally stop working. I would then bring it back to GameStop and they have replaced it for a new or used one each time I went in. I started keeping receipts
and the box to make sure that I would be able to return them.

With that in mind, when my Headset died, I was playing and then had to get up and go to the restroom. When I got up, I got shocked by static buildup on my bed and when I returned, my headset would not work. I tried troubleshooting and I found it wasn't just
the headset that went out I would just have to buy a new one. I went and bought a new pair and then realized that my headset adaptor wasn't working. I could own hear game volume, but I couldn't chat without people. I went and replaced that.

About a month later, I was playing and again when I got up, my bed shocked me and when I got back, my adaptor cut out again. I replaced it and about a month later, I was playing. I shifted myself and got shocked. All of a sudden, my Controller cut out and then
came back on a few minutes later. When I got back on, guess what happened. My adaptor isn't working again.

Now I started noticing a pattern. Whenever I got up and got shocked by my bed, my adaptor would not work when I got back and the same thing happened when my headset went out, and my controller died. I also noticed that I never had problems with static in
my bed until I started playing Xbox One which is when I got the adaptor.

I'm guessing that there is something wrong with the Adaptor causing a build up of Static that then spreads across my body and then my bed and then snaps when I let go of the bed and controller because I'm now grounding myself with my floor.

So over the past month, I decided to pay attention to it. My controller has decided to die frequently whenever I shift even though my batteries are not dead. And then yesterday, my Adaptor went out again with a shock.

I'm hopping that this is the right place to post this so Microsoft can see it as there is no other way.

I have done some research that many, many, many other players are experiencing issues such as an adaptor causing the mic to crackle and then die a few hours later and even cases where the shock shorted their new Elite Controller and even fried his rechargeable
    batteries he bought with them.

Hopefully Microsoft will see this and do something about it because this is costing Gamers and my local GameStop a lot of money to keep replacing these.

If you know where to put this article so that someone will see it, go ahead and copy and paste it. I'm tiered of having to make runs to GameStop every other month just to talk with friends.

    :)

My mic won’t show up on my xbox

    Hey

There could be a lot of reasons causing that issue. You will want too troubleshoot the issue. For example

Are you using the stero adapter with the headset or just pluging right into the controller 3.5mm jack? If your using the adapter is possable its faluty

Try the headset on a other controller if it works then its likley the other controller auido port isnt working

Try the headset on a other device such has a PC or phone if the headset to test the headset

Also make sure your controller is updated

Blest Solid, please create your own thread in this forum so your issues can be focused on independently of BIOHAZARD's. Please, in that post, advise if you have the monophonic (one ear) headset from Xbox, or do you have a Stero headset (both ears)?
