XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Problem....

When is this getting fixed?????

I'm on my second pair of XB1 Stereo Headsets trying to fix this, the same blimin problem.

Very noticeable on all menu screens and when music is playing, and especially on the dashboard.

MS, what's up?

I'm the same. MS support told me that the first was defective and that changed. I did and still the same after updating.

I'm having the same issue with xo7s, also finding the max volume of the headset on the x1 is considerably lower if I plug the headset into my iphone. This again points to the Stereo adaptor. Microsoft need to fix this, but they seem to be taking their sweet
time. So I'm now thinking that this is not a firmware issue but a hardware fault. I'm returning my adaptor with the beaches so I don't get stuck with a faulty adaptor.

there is a new thread where xbox staff has mentioned its a issue that has carried over to the current update wave and that they are working on it

For people who don't get the Controller update go to Settings then system there you will find an update controller option.

Although I have two Stereo headsets which suffer from static sounds during menus etc or occasional complete loss of sound when playing Titanfall. Both of which sound great when connected to my phone or Mac so i believe there is an issue with the adapters.

Microsoft, is there any fix/update coming out for this "emerging issue" as you've called it in press release???

I still have static on my official headset and adapter, crackling and popping not only on the XBL homescreen, but in game on menus especially and in loading screens.

I have updated all my controllers, tried port forwarding (after customer support told me this would fix it somehow...) and did a hard reset and have returned THREE headsets to you to try and remedy it (they all still static a bit).

Anything in the works MS? Can a mod comment on this?

Same issue here.

Using it with the Apple Earpods and I have the same issue since the first day... static noise all the time.

I do not have this with any other device, just with the Stereo headset adapter of the XboxOne.

All updates have been applied...

I have astro a50's plugged into my one, i dont know what it is but when im playing destiny for example and i go to my friends app then come back there is a static sound; to get rid of it i have to quit the game i also use kinect for chat please help

my xbox one headset adapter is not working. i think it is broke it is update and i have only had it for 5 months what do i do

I'm also having the static problem and I've already done the mandatory update and still static plus when I talk no one can hear me. What's funny is I made my own headset adapter back in November at launch and it works better then the Microsoft adapter. Idk
if i should send it back or not doesn't seem to like my TB xp400s

Astro A40's same issue here...!!! I really hope this gets fixed soon i guess back to the kinect mic?

Enough with the cheesy responses of "did you update the controller?" we are not idiots. The problem is obviously on MS end. I own Astro A40s that were great pre-march update, but are extremely fantastic post update for game audio. My excitement for the audio
improvement was short lived, because as soon as I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND UPDATED MY CONTROLLER I too began to hear static popping. I hard started my XB1 and it fixed it temporarily yet it crept back. My online friends complained of me sounding "robotic"
or "like an answering machine". I also noticed that the in-game audio was muffled and not up to what I've expected from my Astro's and XB1, yet when I unplugged the adapter and cord from my mix amp pro it went back to the outstanding audio. I cant help but
blame MS for trying to monopolize the market more and try to squeeze money out of its dedicated customers with sub-par accessories with amateur codec/firmware. Get your stuff straightened out, and get us customers the proper things we need to keep us happy
so we can continue to keep your pockets lined.
