XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Problem....

I just bought the stereo adapter today and I am having static issues as well with my Turtle Beach X12's. All my friends are saying there is static when I speak, and I can hear everyone fine. My console and controller are updated. The headset is old but
not broken. The headset works fine on my pc when chatting online. Microsoft do you have any suggestions as to how or what can fix this issue? Is it a hardware issue or is it an update issue? Anything will help just need to know what to do. Should I take the
adaptor back to gamestop?

 

no dont take the adaptor back as they all have the same issues. I have the turtle beack x04's and am getting constant static. I returned them and got a new pair but am still having the same issue. Why microsoft, whyyyyy????

 

I just bought the Titanfall Atlas headset and when I go to follow the instructions on how to update my controller, it keeps giving me error there was a problem updating your controller. Someone help.

 

Thanks Bura Freak for the intel on not taking the adaptor back I will hold on to it til I get word from MS on what to do.

 

I just got off the phone with XBL Customer Support, and there is not much right now that they can do. They are passing issues on to higher ups and they will be fixing it. We will be notified through social media as to what will happen.

 

I have a static issue to, but doesn't seem as bad as you guys. Every time I browse through the dashboard I hear little static pops. It works fine when I am playing a game, but other then that. The static is kinda annoying when I am using the dashboard.

 

so hear is the deal guys. i was in beta. the small pops is a problem with the sound codec. it was constant through the beta. I think the static when you hear people speak it the mic being too close. on my xp400's i was almost eating the mic on the x07's
i have it away from me a bit more. just keep chatiing until you don;t get the static. I hope it gets better eventually it has to.

 

I experiencing the same static junk! Picked up my xo sevens and when I'm in a chat with friends the static that comes through when they talk is terrible! The cheap headset Microsoft gave us with the xbox has better chat audio! Please please fix the static
issue! Both of my friends that picked up the chat adapter for their x12's are going through the same stuff! I know it's not the headset. Game audio sounds great just the chat sounds bad.

 

Enough with the cheesy responses of "did you update the controller?" we are not idiots. The problem is obviously on MS end. I own Astro A40s that were great pre-march update, but are extremely fantastic post update for game audio. My excitement for the audio
improvement was short lived, because as soon as I FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS AND UPDATED MY CONTROLLER I too began to hear static popping. I hard started my XB1 and it fixed it temporarily yet it crept back. My online friends complained of me sounding "robotic"
or "like an answering machine". I also noticed that the in-game audio was muffled and not up to what I've expected from my Astro's and XB1, yet when I unplugged the adapter and cord from my mix amp pro it went back to the outstanding audio. I cant help but
blame MS for trying to monopolize the market more and try to squeeze money out of its dedicated customers with sub-par accessories with amateur codec/firmware. Get your stuff straightened out, and get us customers the proper things we need to keep us happy
so we can continue to keep your pockets lined.

I own both the Turtle beach x12's and the xl1's and people are telling me that both have static coming every few words I say. My friend has a pair of turtle beach's as well so I party chat with him and he also has static every few words. Basically
we need to have the headset pointed behind our head in order to not get static....... XBOX please update

 

I'm having the same problems as well with my x12's. I waited until I got the adapter to update my controller so I could have the headset plugged in while it was updating. I have other friends who have headsets from other manufacturers that are having
the same issues. Please fix this Microsoft. Don't sweep this under the rug, because there are a lot of us who are having this issue.

 

Astro A40's same issue here...!!! I really hope this gets fixed soon i guess back to the kinect mic?

 

I bought the XBOX ONE Stereo Headset for $80 that came with the adapter. The audio in the dashboard drops out and gets glitch, and I can't get the mic to work half the time. I returned them and got the Titanfall Atlas set and guess what, same thing. So I
returned those because I actually like the MS set better. Now just need to wait for software patch it appears the audio codec is conflicting with the adapter. Hope its fixed for Titanfall!

 

I'm also having the static problem and I've already done the mandatory update and still static plus when I talk no one can hear me. What's funny is I made my own headset adapter back in November at launch and it works better then the Microsoft adapter. Idk
if i should send it back or not doesn't seem to like my TB xp400s
