XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Problem....

So I just picked up the Stereo headset and says it needs an update on a sticker on the chat adaptor. I have the play and charge kit so my controller is always plugged in, has the update for the stereo headset been released? I have tried it and it works
fine for about 5 minutes then a bunch of static comes through as sound. Works fine on my iphone,soits ether the adaptor or the update hasn't been released, which one is it? Thx

my Xbox one stereo headset doing static noises when im talking in a party and I don’t wanna buy a new one so how do I fix it.

 

The headset static is back.

My Xbox One Stereo Headset had the microphone and one of the ear pieces die. I'm currently in the process of sending it in for repair. I never had any static, though.

 

have you updated your controller(s) yet? There are instructions posted on how to do this.

The thing is I tried many times to update the controller and until I got the March preview it wouldnt work. So you may be stuck waiting until you get the Xbox one update later this month.

My headset adapter has been working fine since I got it.

 

Thank you AddictedToKaos, I tried to update my Titanfall Controller and my new Day One Edition controller replacment that I never poked up to an XBOX ONE and still no update, so I'm assuming its because the controller update will be rolled out with the March
11 Titanfall update. Wish I was in the Beta for the patch as I have the headset.

They should make it known on the XBOX ONE Stereo headset Support FAQ on XBOX.com that the update won't be released till later this month, to avoid mass confusion of all the people buying these headsets and returning them the thinking their broken.

Can I get a conformation by somone who tried the headset and isn't In the beta, are you getting static after playing for abit?

 

The subject about not able to update controller, has already been posted. An when to March update comes out, March 4, before the release of Titanfall, will fix the problem. This info is from beta users, about fixing the problem, they said the sound is great
to the headset, after updating controller.

 

MeanKilleR - i have the same problem, static and i picked up the adapter today and no update popped up, thought something was wrong with it and there was no info from xbox themselves that the update hasn't been released yet. Well at least i know it'll be
working fine tomorrow. (march 4th)

 

I am having the same problem. I called xbox, they had no clue what I was talking about. I have found the static goes away once you plug in your controller and are not using battery power. I also am not able to use the chat. People can hear me, but I can
not hear them. Here it is the fourth, and no fix?

 

Ok so I just got the headset.. It's 10:26 est on the 4th and still no update.. The controller never updated either, and I'm getting static.. So far I really like them and I want them to work.. I'm really annoyed.

 

I bought the headset today and am also getting static out of them and can't get the controller to update but like IN Town Marshal said if you keep your controller plugged in the static is no longer there so simple fix till the controller update is actually

i also hear some static with the stereo headset/chat adapter. was there another controller update pushed out after the march update preview? I updated my controller before my system received the finalized march update(march 4th xb_rel_1403.140301-2200 build)

 

So my console updated and I've one the controller update however everything I plug my new adapter/headset in it prompts me for an update and fails once I follow the onscreen instructions. I called MS and they informed me that the update for he headset isn't
due to be released until the 7th and that very one who got the headset and or adapter before that date won't be able to update. Thanks MS for being so thorough. :-\

 

I got my Headset / adapter on the 2/26/2014, from MS store. An after March 5, console update, and updating my controller. everything is working fine, great sound to the headset. Support is telling you March 7, because the MS Store, stop shipping them until
March 7, because of the update for the controller was not out. If your console is updated, with March 5 update, then you have the controller update too.

Updated my controller and my friends are telling me, they hear static every few minutes when I speak. Im using Astro A40's. Both my console and controller are updated. Any ideas?

I also us the A40's. I hear static every few minutes my one friend speaks using the A50's and the chat adapter. However, I don't hear any static when another friend talks using the basic the headset that comes with the xbox. The one using the regular mic
said he heard static from me but none from the A50's.
