  2. I have the same issue. Just bought my stereo x1 headset and there's always a subtle 'tick, tick, tick' sound after playing for a little while or when transition between apps. It's infuriating because everything else about the headset (especially the design
and that no cables need to plug into the TV or console) is absolutely superb.

But this ever so subtle yet entirely irritating 'click' 'pop' 'tick' sound negates the very purpose of the headset. I've rebooted, I've unplugged and plugged back, I've updated....everything short of buying a new one, which I won't do because I suspect there
    will be the same problem.

Such a shame, and I hope they're aware and will fix.

To my knowledge, no headset is safe. They all require the headset adapter, which is the weak link here. I use my 4 Shots with my computer and smartphone all the time and they are fantastic. Using them on the Xbox One results in a horrible experience full
of crackling and static. The headsets these adapters are being paired with are too expensive to be performing so poorly.

It's a software issue. It's just effin annoying that's it's been this long and still not even news about a fix.

Ok I have found something that has fixed the problem. We have called Xbox support and they gave me these instructions which fixes the annoying crackles On the headset. Go to settings, then click on Network, click on advanced settings, then click alternate
MAC address and Then Clear. This will restart the Xbox and fixes the issue.

I'm still getting used to the One, as I play mostly on 360 but I have been worried about having this issue. I use x31's on my 360 and I have to make sure no one is using anything wi-fi in the house or they pop nonstop. As long as no one is sucking up all
the wifi, they are fine. We have both the 360 and the One hardwired, but that doesn't really mean anything when it comes to the headsets. From what I am seeing online, there is really no such thing as "wired" headsets for the One? With the One being further
away from the router than the 360 (which is maybe six feet away), I'm concerned about the constant popping. Plus if one member of the house is using the x31's on the 360, I don't want them competing for all the wireless with someone playing the One at the
same time. I figured I good set of "wired" ones would help with that, but I guess the way the One works, none are hard wired from the console?

Just adding my name here. Xbox One stereo headset gives random crackling and popping. Have to unplug headset from adaptor and plug back in to temporarily resolve. Very annoying but I have no choice. Looks like according to this thread we are at its mercy
til a new update comes through and fixes it. Hopefully. Really really want this fixed.

Just got the XO seven. I've tried using other headsets with the adapter and it doesn't matter - crackling and popping. Restarting the controller fixes this for a minute or two, but it eventually starts crackling again. VERY frustrating.

    Same issue here.

Using it with the Apple Earpods and I have the same issue since the first day... static noise all the time.

I do not have this with any other device, just with the Stereo headset controller of the XboxOne.

    All updates have been applied...

XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Post March patch...... Does it happen to you?

I haven't gotten any static with the adapter for the past few weeks. Seems to be fixed for me. I use my Galaxy S3 earbuds and Turtle Beach N11 Wii U headset.

Just wanted to chime in here while I wait for a chat response from Xbox Support. Tried the Twitter but they were not very helpful. I got my Xbox One back in July shortly before the Destiny Beta. I got the headset adapter the same day. The adapter worked
perfectly fine back then after I updated my two controllers. Now, after a system update back in August, I get extremely annoying popping/crackling sounds and at times the audio skips for a second, like an old CD player.

The fact that issues like this, which were originally reported in March... that's pathetic.

Same here guy's. i have put 50 hours in trying to fix this static/popping/clicking noise coming out of my stereo headset that is hooked up to my controller. I have been through 6 headsets/ 7 adapters/and two new controllers. I have changed channels on my
router, turned off every thing in the house that would interfere also. The funny thing is when i talk to xbox support they tell me its the first they have heard of this problem. Now they want to send me a new xbox one. I do know when i sync my controller it
stops clicking and popping in my headset for a couple minutes. Maybe the controllers are not staying synced. So i guess ill have to try the new xbox one they are promising. Hopefully this gets fixed soon. I am so angry with xbox support for playing stupid
    with me.
