Your best bet is to wait for the "Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter" coming out in March:

XBOX ONE Stereo Headset Static Problem....

i also hear some static with the stereo headset/chat adapter. was there another controller update pushed out after the march update preview? I updated my controller before my system received the finalized march update(march 4th xb_rel_1403.140301-2200 build)

 

Lets all hope. Support doesn't have an answer. I've tried several times. Microsoft says it's the headset, turtle beach says it's microsoft. My headset works on my pc just fine so I know it's not the xo fours themselves. It's some kind of issue on microsofts

It's Microsofts issue, I'm pretty sure Turtle Beach had nothing to do with the creation of the adapters. Turtle Beach, just make the headsets and ship it with the adapter, which is crafted by Microsoft. Also, I have an adapter for my pc, which allows me
to use the microphone and the audio from the XO fours, and they work great.

 

Yeah I think it's a software issue personally. Could be the adapter, although I traded my original adapter and bought a new one and it's the same *** different day, different adapter.

 

i replace the adapter three times, and i have the issue with the sony wireless gold pulse and samsung earphones. It's software related

 

Having the same cracking/popping issue using the adapter please fix this

 

Still no solution? I dunno but I feel like it got worse? maybe it's just me.

And the static noise is so annoying while playing Destiny.

Finally got a DSS2 so I can use my X12s on my Xbox One. I have everything plugged in correctly and the sound is perfect when I do not have the chat cable plugged into the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, but as soon as I plug it in, there is a horrible static
noise. I tested the sound on my Xbox 360, and the sound is perfect even with the chat cable plugged into the controller. The problem is definitely the Stereo Headset Adapter. The noise is so bad I went to the internet to find a fix only to see hundreds of
people are having the exact same problem with no fix in sight.

 

So I just updated my controller hoping that it would fix the occasional popping noises I was experiencing, and now I have constant popping noises whenever there is any sound. Super annoying. Update made it far worse for me. I have tried doing a hard reset
and unplugging the power but the popping persists.

Wish I read this before updating.

 

So, I've recently got a pair of these, and they're great apart from the clicking/ticking sounds that happens during some audio. It doesn't happen all the time, and I've played some games where it doesn't happen at all... "Rayman legends" for example, I've
not noticed it while playing that at all.

However, AC4 and the Detiny Beta, and even moving around on the dash, always seem to exhibit the problem. It's not a deal breaker, but it is distracting, and it's so close to being a perfect product that it's very frustrating.

I'd describe the sound as a fast, quiet, ticking that only happens when there's some sound going on. If I'm on the dash, with nothing happening, it's as quiet as a mouse. Maybe at 3 or 4 ticks a second?

It'd be interesting to record some audio and put it online to see if we all have the same issue. Maybe I'll see if I can sort that out. It might also help the devs understand what issues we're trying to get sorted.

 

Have the same issues myself (popping/clicking sound)... I had sworn it went away after the March update but it is back. Hopefully it is fixed. Not a major distraction but definitely a distraction that needs to be taken care of. Especially since I paid $80
for the MS headphones that sound great on anything else I use them on except for that damn popping noise in the background on the XBox One!

I have the same issue with the Xbox one turtle beach XO7,the static noise on the dashboard and while playing was fixed before the second controller patch for me but then again since I've got the second controller patch for the sensitivity and firmware update
it's back.

It is so annoying that I can barely play with them for 30 minutes... Then I get bored of earing static every 2 second or I get a head hache,i've tested it on my computer and it works perfectly,no static,perfect HDMI sound,I've bought a seconder adapter,because
maybe the adapter was the problem since the patches... But nope still static noise in both adapters.

And I know the adapter is the problem because I can use it on my computer or Ipod,IPhone without any problem of static and 1 of the update made them work properly on xbox one...

So please Microsoft,you said you were aware of the problem since the lauch and was working on a fix,well there is still a problem for XO4's - XO7's and some others,it is not fixed yet,I have paid 150$ for them... plus an extra 30$ for another adapter,make
it work ? Because now I can only use them on other devices wich is not is principal utility!
