Xbox One Stereo Headset Sound Issues

Hi -

I just bought the Xbox One Stereo Headset (this one: Stereo Headset | Xbox)
and I'm having some weird sound issues.

Everything worked fine at first and the setup and download of the patch went flawlessly. I'm playing Diablo with the headset on and the sound keeps flickering. It's not all the time, but enough that it's jarring and making me notice. It's almost like
the sound you hear when you play with the jack and twirl it. It's like a static sound for a split second and other times it's just sound stuttering.

I've tried resetting the console, turning it off and unplugging everything for a couple minutes, playing without headset to see if it was the game (it wasn't, happened with live tv too via headset). Not sure what else to do.

Is this a known issue or is there any fix to the sound issue? Just wanted to see if maybe there was something easy to do in order to fix this.

Can I use a Xbox one sterio headset with a DVI converter?

Just tested this and it will work.

Xbox One connected to a monitor using an HDMI Cable. Set the Display settings to DVI. Meaning no audio is being transferred over the cable. Attached Headset Audio adapter to an updated xbox one controller and plugged in the Xbox One Stereo headset to the
adapter, got Stereo sound on the headset without any issues.

 

Television Audio Through Xbox One Headset

If you are talking about the Chat headset, that comes with Xbox One, then No. If you are talking about Stereo Headset, with an Stereo Headset Adapter. then Yes. Using the Stereo Headset Adapter give to both Chat and Game sound to the headset. If you TV,
is connected to the Xbox, your TV sound, will go to the headset.

• Make sure your Headset Adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your Stereo Headset's 3.5mm cable is securely plugged into the Headset Adapter.
  
• Make sure that your controller has fresh batteries.
  
  
• If possible try to use your headset in a different controller to see if the issue occurs.
  
• You can also try using your headset with a different device, such as a laptop.
