    Xbox one stereo headset quit working


    My headset had been working fine till last night. First I could not talk then I couldn't hear. Only mic I can get to work is my kinect. But my mic headsets contoler works on sister x1. But hers want work on mine.

    Reset x1. Controller. Unplugged head set. Tryed redowloading profile. Even o resetting xbox to factory. Clearing alternate Mac address. Went threw my settings. Can't find no problems. I have 3 turtle beaches x11 x12 x42. I have triton 720s. They workwork
    still on sisters xbox with my adapter and controller. The factorie chat headset will not work either. No party or game chat. Is it a live problem or my x1

    What's a good yet not horribly expensive headset for the Xbox?

    The default stereo headset is pretty good IMO.

    Comfortable, cheap, decently built. It's stereo but it should work with windows sonic as well which helps with audio quality.

    Xbox one stereo headset quit working

    Have you tried power cycling the console by holding the power button on it for 10 seconds until it shuts down? What about heading to Settings to see if there is an update for the controller?

    Same problem, xbox live has been down a lot also. But in party app, where there is usually the blue circle that expands when you talk, is gone completely.

    The mic that came with the Xbox one works. My adapter chat button makes the game volume higher. Is it suppose to be like that?

    Hi Zathrus,

    We have two of the
    Xbox Stereo Headset     with Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter, and both sets have worked well with no problems for sometime now. And I have used the
    adapter with non-Microsoft headset with no issues. So, given that you say your "3.5 mm cabled headset " works directly connected to the controller, then I regret to say it would seem that the fault lies with the adapter itself and may need to be replace.

    Recommendation needed for Xbox One X headphones

    I would recommend the official Xbox brand stereo headset as it claims to be compatible with all xbox one wireless controllers:

    It probably doesn't need the stereo headset adapter - but if you're going to buy this headset, better just buy the stereo headset adapter to get your other headsets, that you already own, to work properly
